This was our first time trying El Salto. It's been on our list of restaurants to check out. We will NEVER be back. We were sat in a booth that offered no breathing room. The back of the booth to the edge of the table was about 8-12 inches... it made a lot of sense why they picked us to sit in this booth after we sat down. We were very clearly the smallest people in line waiting. The salsa had a bad flavor and was the consistency of water. The food was very bland! Once they set our food down we asked for boxes and the check. The seating arrangement was so uncomfortable that we couldn't wait to get out of there. My cheese enchilada was off, tasted like mozzarella cheese. Save your money and...
Read moreI'm probably a bit judgmental, but first impression is usually the chips and salsa. Chips were fine, but salsa was water thin, which is always disappointing because you can't keep it on the chips (and it can usually end up on you). It had a slight kick to it, which was interesting at first, but would prefer shredded cheese. Enchilada was as expected and no issues with the rice and beans. Staff was super nice and food was priced reasonably. Didn't do it for me, but it might for you if going for more of their...
Read moreJust happened to be in the area and looked for restaurants around me and this one came up. My daughter and I visited. The staff were friendly and prompt. I had the street tacos with 3 different meats and an order of tamales to share. The tacos were great and the beans and rice even were VERY tasty which was a great surprise. The tamales were okay but I admit it’s hard to please me with tamales. I prefer them still wrapped in the corn husk and these were served without it and covered in a sauce I didn’t particularly like but the tamales themselves were okay. My daughter got an appetizer nacho for her entree and she loved it. Overall was glad to happen upon this place and will be sure to go back next time I’m ...
