I ordered the Gyro platter with a salad, fries, and a side of spinach pies.
I arrived 5 minutes before my order was to be completed. My order was sitting in a cold counter when I arrived. Their card reader was not working properly and it took about 10 minutes for them to repair it. I understand things break. This in itself wasn't a huge issue just part of the pile.
I drive 5 minutes back to my hotel to find no flatware included with the meal. I'm glad I always keep a few plastic flatware packs in my truck.
The spinach pies were soggy from condensation, cold, and way over seasoned. I assume it was saffron that was the culprit but it was so powerful it was hard to tell. I took two bites and had to throw them away.
No worries that was just the app. I still have a delicious salad and main course. Not so much.
The salad lettuce was crisp, that was the only positive. The three small pieces of tomato and ONE(!) half of a slice of cucumber added nothing to it. I was expecting Greek dressing. Maybe it was their version of Greek dressing but it just tasted like lemon juice with a little oil and pepper mixed in.
Even after that the gyro "platter" was the worst of it all. Everything was cold. The meat was dry and unseasoned, the fries were soggy and unseasoned, the pita bread was dry and flavorless, the one slice of tomato was limp and pitiful. No onion, no tzatziki, no lettuce. Dry meat inside a dry pita is not a gyro by any means.
They have decent ratings so maybe it was just a bad night. I certainly won't be taking a chance there again.
I hope you all have a better experience then I did if you decide to...
Read moreThis recently-opened establishment is an excellent spot for Middle Eastern fare with a Lebanese twist. The location in a strip plaza was easy to find. The interior was nice enough, though nothing special with standard booths and modest decor.
We walked in mid-afternoon, so it was not at all busy. The moderate-sized dining room was wide open, even with a reduced-capacity protocol in place. Our server did a great job of taking care of us throughout our stay.
The menu featured several Middle Eastern favorites. My wife chose the Lemon Rice Soup, one of her favorites, and a medium Fattoush Salad. She was quite happy with her choices, particularly the soup. I had the Chicken Shawarma over Hummus, which came with seasoned fries. I was extremely satisfied with my choices. The chicken was tasty, as was the hummus. The fries were excellent and were particularly noteworthy. I will also say that the pita was wonderfully fresh. The portions on all of the servings were right-sized such that we could finish them in one sitting.
Our final cost with food, drinks, tax and tip was $34. At $17 per person, this was a reasonably good deal. We will definitely...
Read moreEDITED: After returning to the business, the owner and staff were able to work with me and have promised to recognize my giftcards going forward. They apologized for their initial handling of the issue and were very quick in responding to my concern. I'm looking forward to enjoying their food again! Try them out and give the new ownership a chance.
I've been a customer here numerous times. I spoke positively enough about the restaurant that I received $100 in gift cards from family (less than a year old, no expiration dates), yet I was told the giftcards are no longer redeemable - no notice, no willingness to work with me in any way. The only explanation was because "the owner who sold them no longer worked there," yet they still had a STACK of identical giftcards for purchase at their register and an identical giftcard taped to their register. They removed both as I left the restaurant but this screams a SCAM....
