Never give this type of review, but owner had it coming this time.. Worst place to ever go, owners is super rude and food is tasteless. Forced gratuity even when there’s no service. Paid $76 for 2 adults and 2kids(2 yr and 5yr olds). Looks like they’d charge u for kids buffet even if they are 6 months old. The food tastes below mediocre at the best, they ran out of the food at buffet and things never got refilled, even when the server was asked beforehand, on top of that you could hear cook/owner screaming from inside at the server, when he was asked to get some refills. On top of the horrible service and lack of food, they have the audacity to charge 18% gratuity on the bill where they completely forget the fact that Tip is for ā€˜at-least average service’ not for the horrible service they provide. I wish i could see the reviews before getting there, i’d never have went there & i’d suggest everyone the same, if you need slightest of the taste in your food, go somewhere else, it’s for sure the worst Indian restaurant i have ever been to. I’d suggest to avoid this place at any cost. Updates to the response from owner on my review- 2 year old doesn’t eat $12 worth meal that too when there weren’t even any options. Since the owner mentioned that they do buffet 12-3 & may run out of food ā€˜near to closing’ which i assume would be 2:45-3 PM, attaching the metadata of the pic taken with time, which clearly shows what time was the pics were taken, and in no normal sense it’s close to ā€˜closing time’ as mentioned by owner. The owner is just outrageously rude and inapt for the service industry & that does reflect in his comments/responses in each n every review that tells the truth about this establishment. The food is way below mediocre, it’ll be better if you just get frozen food, heat n eat it up rather than wasting time, money and peace at this establishment. Regarding gratuity - No you don’t have any right to add gratuity for the poorest service you offer, the only thing you can put on is the taxes. Gratuity is option and at the will of consumers to reflect appreciation for at-par or above-par service they get, no one is obliged to pay a single dime in gratuity for the poor, inconsiderate and horrible service you provide.

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at ā€œThe Jewel of Toledoā€ and it was an experience that left my taste buds dancing with delight. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary decor that set the perfect mood for a delightful meal. We decided to try their Shahi Paneer and Dal Makhni, and both dishes exceeded our expectations in every way. The Shahi Paneer was an absolute revelation. The paneer cubes were soft and perfectly cooked, swimming in a rich, creamy gravy that was subtly sweet and infused with aromatic spices. Each bite was a testament to the chef's mastery of balancing flavors, and it truly lived up to its name, "Shahi," meaning royal. The Dal Makhni was another highlight. This slow-cooked lentil dish was incredibly flavorful, with a silky texture that can only be achieved through careful, long hours of cooking. The black lentils and kidney beans were cooked to perfection, and the dish was imbued with a smoky, buttery essence that made it utterly irresistible. The hint of cream added a luscious depth, making it the perfect comfort food. Accompanying our mains, we had garlic naan and boiled rice. The naan was fluffy and perfectly charred, with just the right amount of garlic to complement the main dishes without overpowering them. The rice was fragrant and light, providing the perfect canvas to soak up the rich gravies. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to guide us through the menu and make recommendations. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the hospitality, was truly commendable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to indulge in authentic and delicious Indian flavors.

While we were looking forward to enjoying authentic Indian cuisine, several issues left us deeply dissatisfied: 1. Entrance Confusion: The bell at the entrance was difficult to locate, as it was stuck to a busy board. This created unnecessary confusion right at the beginning of our visit. 2. Subpar Options for Kids: To our surprise, children were served on low-quality foam plates, which are unhealthy and disrespectful to your youngest guests. When we asked if this was standard, the server confirmed that foam plates are all that’s offered for kids. As a health-conscious parent, I feel this practice is unacceptable and needs immediate reconsideration. 3. Disregard for Food Preferences: Despite clearly requesting mild food, the dishes served were excessively spicy. This not only ruined the meal for us but also highlighted a lack of attention to customer preferences. Parantha was like, "If you throw them on a wall, they'll make a hole in the wall." 4. Unattentive Service: After the food was served, we were left waiting for nearly 30 minutes before the server checked in to ask if we needed anything. This delay in service further added to the negative experience. Unfortunately, these issues combined to make this one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to address these problems to improve the experience for your future guests, especially those visiting with children.

Okay, just like the last guy, I'm not the person that usually puts these kind of reviews, but I am absolutely appalled at the experience I just had after leaving the store. I was driving through town and looked up Indian buffet. There were five restaurants in town. This was the only restaurant that offered buffet. I called 20 minutes beforehand to verify. The ambience inside is okay. The server was a young kid and he did fine. He happened to set me at a two-person table facing the kitchen where I could see a large man eating in the kitchen. (Health Violations?) The food itself was terrible to my taste buds. I will say at least the food was hot. There was only one authentic tasting dish. That is the reason why I left a one-star review. To me that was going to be the end of it. Get back on the road and head home. When I asked for my bill it said 13 and change. I handed him a $20 bill. When he brought me my change from a 20 he handed me $0.45. I left a $3 tip on the table not knowing they were going to keep keep $6 for a tip. So obviously they add tip in which was not explained to me. Also. If it had been 20%, it should have been only 2.60$. instead they kept 45% as a tip. This is illegal. You cannot misrepresent a bill and keep a patron 's money like that. And if that wasn't bad enough, after I left and was about 20 minutes on the road, I guess he looked at the Google reviews and seen that I had left a bad review. How he was able to attach my name and number to that review. I still don't know. It doesn't matter. I have good standing with Google. This man is a very angry man. He called and told me I was a terrible person. He also called me a stupid ugly person. And a liar because when he called the first time asking why I left a one-star review. I didn't want to hurt his feelings and say his food was terrible. When he called me the first time I had to hang up on him because he just kept rambling but I realized after hanging up I needed to call him back and let him know why I gave him a one-star review. This really set him off and as a business owner talking to a patron, it made me feel very uncomfortable. There's no reason to yell at someone and get angry. Everyone has opinions. My opinion is the food is terrible. That's the point of reviews. Business owners should not be able to contact someone that leaves reviews. And also stealing money from patrons is illegal. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this restaurant. I'm going to be in contact with Google to resolve this matter. If this man harasses me again he will have a phone call from my lawyer.

To beat it all I was only going to leave just one star and not say anything because that's the polite thing to do. My opinion matters to myself and the point of Google reviews is to be helpful to other patrons that enjoy...

My family and I have always had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was always excellent, the service acceptable, the atmosphere- nice. I didn't think twice about taking my mom here for lunch today. However, shortly thereafter I found myself apologizing to my mom. It was a buffet lunch and much of the food hadn't been replenished. No biggie...it happens, we shrugged it off and waited for fresh naan. Meanwhile, we took a little of what was on the line. The rice was either undercooked or had been sitting out for awhile. It was crunchy. Overall, the food was decent. It wasn't exceptional...but it was good. We waited for the naan to come out and enjoyed catching up with each other. Not once was our water refilled. While we finished our food, it quickly became known that the couple behind me had complained about the food. The owner stood over them as they were seated informing them they had to pay even if they didn't like the food. I admit I didn't hear how the initial interaction began, but it quickly became apparent that the owner was quite upset. While the couple tried to be calm, the owner seemed to escalate rather fast. He threatened to call the police on the couple, told them never to come back and then realizing the scene he was making in front of the 8-10 other diners, he requested the male diner to step outside with him. The male diner complied. Once outside, the owner then started yelling at the guest. I lost count on how many times "motherf*@#$&" was directed toward the young guest. Meanwhile, the rest of us all sat quietly in the restaurant in shock. My mom and I asked for more water and the check. The waiter seemed very perplexed and concerned over the situation so was a little distracted, so it took a sec to get the check. We were both shocked that we were charged $18 per meal. It is worth noting, $18 for the lunch buffet is a little excessive. At that point we just wanted to leave and tried to put together exact change rather than use a card and have to wait longer, to no avail. We watched the owner come back into the restaurant, yelled at the woman that she needed to leave. She got up and left, said a few choice words. He followed her outside shortly after. It was the strangest, most uncomfortable restaurant experience I have ever experienced. I have worked in food service and while guests can be difficult, his reaction was way over the top. It was not professional. Neither my mom nor I will be back. ....and the rice...
