Bond Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in McAllen

Happened last month but it was a huge letdown and was told by a few buddies of mine to write this review. I went to bond with a couple of buddies to celebrate my birthday, we asked our bartender for tequila shots to get the night started and when I took the shot I noticed the stopper from the tequila bottle in my shot glass. Kind of off putting but I understand things happen. I mentioned it to our bartender Mandy, she apologized and asked if we wanted a complimentary cheesecake for the inconvenience and we said yes. Come to find out she ended up putting that cheesecake on one of my buddies tabs. Why even mention it at all if we ended up having to pay for it? From the second we sat down, Maria made us feel so welcome. She has this way of making you feel like the most important table in the place. Our drinks were spot-on, the food came out perfect, and she always checked in at just the right time — never too much, never too little.

While visiting the Valley, I was told by friends to check out Bond and ask for Maria — and they weren’t wrong! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and brought such great energy to the table.
