A franchise I frequent, for its consistency, good quality, and reasonable prices. With its great service, and ability to handle large parties, it still remains on the top of my list of international restaurants; however, we cannot look past its blemishes, some of its problems being both consistent and inconsistent. I prefer to start off on a lighter note. The quality of the food is always good, never horrid nor mind blowing, with only some exceptions in this specific occasion (will be mentioned later). The service is always at an exceptional rate with servers always being polite, and being quick on their feet with multiple tables/orders. Unfortunately, this dining experience didn't come without its imperfections. With the order of chips and salsas, the salsas were all good, it being the skillet beef queso, the white queso and the guacamole. However, the chips were all different, some of them being stale while others weren't, this is one of the inconsistencies that was mentioned earlier. The second one being the cilantro carne asada fajita plate, with some pieces being nice and tender, some weirdly tough, and all of them being slightly a little too charred, at least for my taste. Not to mention, the Mexican rice was slightly undercooked, with the core being a slightly harder consistency than the rest. On the other hand, because my party was a pretty large one, I got to try other people's dishes, all of them being good. Concluding all of this information, this visit was the lowest quality I've ever seen this establishment, and that is not saying much with all the other occasions being great. Overall, Chili's has always had consistent quality all around, this occasion only being a tad bit lower in quality...
Read moreFood was the best thing about this place. The hostess sat us down then nothing happened for a while. The server refused to come by to our table until there were multiple customers seated in the same area. In the meantime he in the bartender were joking around and talking to each other behind the bar with the customers there. Then the people that came after my wife and I all got served first. This is because you my wife's phone could not scan the menu icon thing on the table with the barcode scanner because her phone doesn't have that capability and neither does mine. so we hadn't even got to look at the menu until after these other customers had come in. Which of course they ordered first because they do what they wanted because they were able to scan the menu. After we finally ordered the server only came by a handful of times. Including to pick up the plates and give us our check. Then the little machine where you do the payments and the satisfaction survey froze the keyboard was stuck on the screen and I couldn't even finish the survey. This is better service than the other location on nolana as we went there the last time we didn't even get a table stood there in the waiting area for over 15 minutes with all the servers and bartenders ignoring us. No hostess anywhere to be seen. Management needs to keep a closer eye on all of the restaurants. I really doubt the corporate policy is to ignore customers but both...
Read moreI had a waiter named Alex today (Friday afternoon around 7pm) He really needs to work on his customer service. He was upset because my table ordered different drinks ex. Beers/ margaritas. He was upset that we all didn’t order the same drink, he said we were the “first table that ordered different drinks” then asked us to keep track of our drinks because we were “all over the place”. He made unnecessary comments like “it’s been a long week huh.” Why yes Alex, we grind from 8-5 and then go home and keep working until 11PM. We decide to reward ourselves one day and you’re so bothered, you ruined our dinner. I’ve had such great service here until we got him as a waiter. He was rude the whole time, he made a comment like “I see eyes but no name being called, (he wasn’t wearing a name tag) my name is Alex” the one time we looked at him because we wanted to order food. I wanted to speak to a manager but I honestly took my food to go because he...
