I really do like the place, but they recently adopted a « cost-cutting » strategy that will make them lose customers: I got used to come and get my orders here: food is good, close to home. Orders ALWAYS came with tortillas. While paying, i didn’t pay attention on my order. They do not offer tortillas anymore, and I didn’t find any signs as to why orders were changed.
This business is not doing bad at all, and I find it preposterous to still charge as much and removing items from the normal order.
As said above, a cost-cutting strategy, or « shrinkflation », to make a bit more quick-bucks on the back of the customers.
Yes I rate the food and armosphere high, because it deserves it, but i cannot get my head around why not offering a serving of tortillas when ordering foods where tortillas are needed !
Unfortunately you lost my business. It might be a drop in a bucket, but this is the first step of a future much larger cost-cutting strategy.
EDIT: answering the owner’s response: Thank you for the quick answer first. I appreciate. Nevertheless, you mentionned one-time mistake while I have been told it’s been a week the policy changed. And I came back from home after dropping the food because I didn’t think of checking the order. I buy those in order to eat immediately with my family and not cooking anything. I do not think ANYBODY ordering fajitas or barbacoas are expecting to not get fresh, warm tortillas to accompany the delicious food.
I know, this looks simple, but as a customer that came to this location for the last 1 year and half, I felt it was a kick...
Read moreVery rarely do i write a negative review as most times it's not worth my energy and effort, but we got ripped off by this place. They stole our money and wouldn't return it. We ordered the mixto meat for 5, which has fajitas, ribeye, and sirloin. They gave us the platter that has fajitas chicken thighs, and sausage. Of course we didn't find out til we got home as the plate is sealed to keep it warm. We called them, we provided pictures of the receipts and food. The receipt charged us for the mixto meat for 5, which is considerably more expensive. It took several hours to get a hold of a manager. She stated she would refund our money if we drove back to the store and returned the food. I promise you we didn't eat it. I dont eat chicken or sausage so it's pretty much all going in the trash. We live about 45 mins away and happened to be in that area. They made an error and wanted us to make a special trip to correct their error....and of course we are still hungry. My husband will buy aguilars meat tomorrow and cookout himself. Never will this place get our business again. P.S when we spoke to the manager on the phone, she made it seem like she was going to refund our money, she simply asked for pictures and receipt...no problem. We hang up and send. Thats when she says we need to go in person to return the food and won't refund unless we do so. We call to see what's up and sent us straight to voicemail after. Yeah dont bother with this place. P.S.S we started noticing a smell filling the house....yeah the beans...
Read moreWe've gone in a couple of times and have been very pleased with the choice, the freshness, the service, the patience, the knowledgeable explanations, and the small, quaint atmosphere. Their packages are made to order, so I picked up some preseasoned chicken and cooked it in the air fryer at home. It was an absolute hit! The next day, we picked up the fajita, chicken, and sausage package, and loved everything. It comes with fresh corn tortillas, salsas, and huge, whole, grilled onions. Oh my goodness! I had a straight up Ratatouille moment when I tasted the grilled onion, cooked wrapped in foil. It took me back to my childhood! I hadn't tasted that flavor since my dad used to grill at the park on weekends or holidays.
Only the charro beans smelled a bit old/spoiled. Unfortunately, it was after hours and we didn't tell them until a week later. They told us what they would do to make it right, and we were...
