Whataburger — Restaurant in McAllen

We drove here from Louisiana after surviving hurricane Laura because I have family that live down here to stay with till the power comes back on. After a 10 plus hour drive we headed straight for Whataburger. The drive thru was packed but with highly efficient staff taking orders while drivers were waiting and they split the line in 2 and had one line taking orders and the others receiving them and flowing more efficiently than a Chick-fil-A franchise that puts them to shame. My wife has never been to a Whataburger and the drive thru attendant 1st reassured her that it was ok and broke down the whole menu on her Electronic pad that had clear and colored pictures and what seemed like limitless options. She made my entire family 👪 feel completely comfortable and welcomed and ended up getting a number 1 with no onions. The food was amazing and satisfying and brought back a lot of awesome memories and Whataburger made me and my family welcome back to the RGV so accepting...

I ordered my food on the Whataburger app I ordered 3 shakes and a kid meal when i arrived to pick up my food the girl in the counter was so rude I told her I’m here for a pick up order she gives me attitude and asks me under what name I give her my name and she tells me the shake Machine is being cleaned that if I wanted to wait 30-45 minutes I told her no I can’t wait she offer me a cookie or brownie that way cheaper than the shakes I asked her can you give me back my money she said no you have to cancel your order on the app I told her it wouldn’t let me then she tells me well you have to call our customer service number. This girl was so rude just by her attitude you can tell she didn’t want to be working I don’t understand how ppl work in places like this if they don’t have good customer service. She needs to fix her attitude and stop using red lipstick it doesn’t look good on her !!! Plus management...

Why don't I learn my lesson. You would think things would change after so many negative experiences from customers. Avoid coming to this Whataburger, especially thru the drive thru window. I order Large fries, cinnamon roll and a large strawberry shake. I'm first car in lane "B". Order was placed at 10:37 pm. I finally get the cinnamon roll and fries about 10 minutes later. Then I'm asked to pull up and they will be back with the shake. Why? So, I pull up thinking it's on its way, but guess what? Another 10-12 minutes later pass, this being about 10:59 -11:00 by now, and the server comes with the shake. No apologies for taking so long, but then why would they. Are you kidding me? It's a shake, fries and an already made cinnamon roll. If you need to get your Whataburger fix, I recommend the Whataburger on 23rd and Nolana.
