Las Rocas (Tortas Tacos Tostadas Y Licuados) — Restaurant in McAllen

The food here is good, but I do think it's kind of pricey. There are no combos or sides that accompany any entrees on the menu. All items are sold separately. Nevertheless we decided to give it a try. We decided to try out the torta de carne and two corn tacos of carne as well. The torta was loaded with shredded beef, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and a side of hot salsa. It was also cut in half. The tacos each came with 2 yellow corn tortillas filled with shredded beef, diced onions, cilantro, and a side of hot sauce. Both entrees were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The aguas de tamarindo and jamaica were super delicious. The older gentleman who took our order came to our table every now and then to check up on us. I will say he is friendly and is good at remembering the names of his customers very well. He mentioned some of our coworkers had just left after he saw our name badges. When I asked who were they, he immediately gave us their names. I also noticed that other customers there were repeat customers of the restaurant, which is a good sign that the food and customer service provided...

My friend recently showed me this place. We always like to get Tortas. This by far has been the best experience yet! The torta was so warm and light! It was so delicious! They also have the freshest aguas frescas! The first time I went I drank 2! Sandia and Melon! Superb!

This place is so clean! So clean! I felt very safe eating there! And believe me, since the whole Covid started we havent been out to restaurants much.

I took my son here to eat because I wanted to share a piece of history! They are located in the heart of McAllen. Oh, he enjoyed it so much too! The food was so scrumptious! Can't wait to bring my mom and other friends here!

Stopped in after searching Google recommendations for Tortas nearby my location. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing my food was! I had the beef torta & a lengua taco, with a mango licuado. Everything was PERFECTION!!! I never eat all my food, especially when there's bread involved...but I couldn't help myself! I ate everything. The salsa was great as well! I took my husband the second time I went, I wanted to share the experience. This time they also gave us a green sauce (I didn't get the first time), it was super delicious as well. Service was wonderful, food is absolutely amazing & I would eat there several more times if our stay was longer. Hidden gem, for sure! Full disclosure: a little pricey, but great food so who...
