Do not sleep on this restaurant. It may be small, unassuming and unglamorous, but everything we had was amazing. It’s like someone’s mom is in the kitchen cooking up homemade food.

We had the choriqueso which was gooey and had just enough chorizo that didn’t leave a pool of grease behind like so many others do.

My boyfriend ordered the asado de puerco and loved it. It’s a bit on the spicier side, but only if you’re not used to eating spicy food.

I had the picadillo plate. It wasn’t too soupy and had just the right blend of spices that made it taste like it was made just for you, not in a huge batch.

Definitely do yourself a favor and order the maíz tortillas. They’re handmade, a little thick and piping hot.

This is one of those places you shouldn’t judge by its storefront. It looks like a typical restaurant that serves average food. Inside the place is impeccable and, yes, that includes the restrooms.

Prices are fair and service staff is courteous and attentive. Can’t say enough. You’ll just have to try it...

Primer vez que consumimos en ese lugar, hamburguesa con papas y 3 gorditas de maíz con verduras. La carne no tiene el sabor 100% carne, más bien el sabor es de mucha mostaza con condimentos, preguntamos a la señora que nos atendió que por cierto para ser cajera se ve que tiene la cara de molesta y preguntamos de qué estaba hecha la carne que tenía mucha mostaza y condimentos le preguntamos si podía cambiar la hamburguesa porque la verdad todo sabía menos a carne la cual dijo que no se puede. Que si mi esposo se comió la hamburguesa? Claro aunque no fue del gusto ya que no íbamos a tirar nuestro dinero. Terminamos y me dirijo a pagar con la cajera y le pregunté por el dueño que quería hablar con él para hacerle referencia de lo sucedido ella respondió, “está allá atrás” pero el semblante de la cajera cambió también a que no le parecía, y dijo la única que está ahí es la señora y con la mirada estaba diciendo que era la señora de la cocina quien preparaba los alimentos. Le pregunté a la cocinera y le hice saber de la carne y me dijo que ella no podía hacer nada le comenté que es la primer vez que fuimos y le pregunté de que estaba hecha la carne porque no sabía a carne y lo demás ya lo comenté al principio, la señora contestó, “pues fíjese que es la primer vez que nos dicen después de muchos años que la carne no sabe bien, que es su hijo es quien la prepara, entonces ahí puedes entender que la señora es la dueña y que tampoco tiene la capacidad para solucionar un incidente con un cliente. Le hice saber que porque no cambiar la hamburguesa por algo aunque tenga un precio menor que la hamburguesa que comes, que en vez de ganar clientes los dejan ir por la incompetencia de una cajera y una cocinera que solo dice que es trabajadora y que su hijo prepara la carne y que su hijo es quien decide si cambia la carne o que le va a decir que le ponga menos mostaza y condimentos. Y la cajera estaba detrás de mí cerca de la caja registradora y decía que no a la cocinera, falta de ética. NO TE RECOMIENDO y si vas a consumir alimentos ahí no selecciones hamburguesas. Te hago saber porque si seleccionas hamburguesa y la carne no te gusta por la falta de incompetencia no te van a cambiar la comida y vas a dejar tu dinero en algo que no será de tu gusto. Y por último la señora dijo, es que a nosotros no nos conviene dar otra comida porque la hamburguesa no fue de su gusto así no nos sale. Ahí está la capacidad y falta de negociar con el cliente. Primer restaurante de muchos que hemos visitado y último en ese lugar. NO...

The breakfast here was okay, I ordered the huevos rancheros and for $4.99 you get, 2 eggs, refried beans and potatoes the bacon was $1.25 extra.

The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was very interesting it tasted good but it had a strong black pepper flavor, the refried beans were good, the potatoes were very bland barely warm I would have preferred if they were crispy and hot and the bacon was pretty tasty.

Overall I think their breakfast options are good and affordable but the huevos rancheros could use some improvements that like a fried corn tortilla under the eggs, also the place looks a bit bland inside, there are many handcrafts from Mexico including Michoacán to make this place...
