Terra Cafe Company LLC — Restaurant in McAllen

Wonderful café! I stopped in for some drinks after a day of fun in the area and I'm so glad we chose this place. Fantastic locally owned cafe with a good selection of drinks. We had a cold brew and the Terra matcha. The cold brew was excellent and we had the choice between the medium and light roast. The medium was fantastic, and I'll want to come back and sample thr light roast next. The Terra matcha was great. It has espresso, and I got mine sweetened with honey. Next time I think I want to try the strawberry matcha as I saw another guest ordered one and I was instantly jealous! I don't come to McAllen often, but this is worth the stop after a shopping trip in the upper...

My daughter and I went recently tried both the a vanilla latte with cold form and terra strawberry matcha drink, and they were excellent. The latte had a smooth flavor with just the right amount of vanilla sweetness—balanced perfectly so the espresso still came through without being overpowered. As for the matcha, it had a vibrant, bright green color and a creamy texture that made it really enjoyable. Both drinks were well-crafted and clearly made with care....

I went yesterday and thinking about my order after leaving the place, and checking the menu and the prices online, I believe I was overcharged for what I received. After doing some math, it seems that the barista may have tipped himself at least 15% without my consent. I liked the place but I was very disappointed by this, and feel I was taken advantage of and left a bad taste...
