I ordered 1 pound lean brisket, 1 pound turkey, 1/2 pound chopped, sauced brisket, 1/4 pound burnt ends, half a rack of ribs, and one texas torpedo. My total for the entire order came out to $88.90. I think the workers gave me the fatty brisket instead of the lean because there was a bit of fat to the brisket, but regardless, it was juicy and well worth the price. The turkey was phenomenal! It was extremely juicy and tender, mouthwatering. The chopped and sliced brisket was especially good, I loved the saucy nature of it. The burnt ends were no different. They were very juicy and tender. The ribs were a little spicy for my liking, but Tabasco sauce is kinda hot for me, so take that as you will. The ribs were still deliriously delicious regardless. The Texas torpedo was kinda bland for me. It is the only item I probably would not order again. The only reason I gave Texas True bbq 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm fairly certain I received the fatty brisket instead of the lean and because when I went to pick up my order it was discovered they had given my order to another person. The workers were very expeditious in getting my order ready, so I think that's where the mistake with the brisket happened. As a precaution, make sure to say your name and show your receipt because the person who received my order had only ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and got away with two full bags of bbq and trimmings. To that person, Anita, I will say: nobody likes a dishonest person, and you should have easily surmised that your two pulled pork sandwiches were not in the two full bags that you took. Other than that, my food experience was great, and I will definitely be ordering more bbq from...

Of course this is located inside an HEB, with a nice little area to be able to sit and enjoy your food. You approach the counter to order on a kiosk. The worker was kind with her willingness to help me order since it was the first time. You order and pay on kiosk. You then receive a text of them receiving my order and then in a few minutes, I received a text that my order was ready for pick up. Because I didn’t like the option drinks, I went to the store part and bought what I wanted. My husband ordered a stuffed potato with smoked turkey slices. My husband stated it was good but he removed some of the meat, it was over stuffed. I ordered a poblano & cheese sausage link sliced which came with 2 slices of bread, pickles, onions and bbq sauce; elote bowl and Serrano cornbread. The sausage was not spicy but with a little kick. The elote had pickled red onions on top and plenty of cotija cheese on top, with a lime wedge. The cornbread was not spicy but flavorful and moist. When I picked up my order, it was missing the trimmings for sausage but I walked over to the counter and let them know and they immediately made it right. We will be back to try more...

I always buy brisket and either half a pound or a pound and bring it home and freeze individual pieces I live alone. My husband passed so it helps I get like maybe three meals 3 1/2 meals off of that pound of brisket if I wanted burnt ends, I would’ve ordered burnt Ends. I saw that on your menu. I can’t imagine anybody wanting burnt ends anyway I had a couple of those that wait on the on the pounds they’re kind of big in if I’d wanted Burtons I would’ve ordered and I didn’t. The brisket is very good and usually I come in about six 630 and they don’t have anymore And people are asking so maybe they’re not making enough brisket if they making a fourth more or a third more and see how it goes because I’ve been turned...

The Brisket here is delicious, the prices are okay I'm sure a little lower would entice a lot more customers. The El Jefe Sandwich is delicious for $14 your sandwich has about 1/2 pound of moist Brisket, sausage link slices, coleslaw and BBQ sauce. The bun was pretty plain, I would recommend for them to put some butter on the bun and toast it slightly. Overall The combination of all the above ingredients is amazing, I highly recommend you this sandwich option.

How is this place so good?! Seriously, how? Located in the middle of a grocery store, this absolutely kicks the butt of most barbecue I have ever had. If I had to pick two items to get again, it would be the Texas torpedo and the fatty brisket. Everything was delicious and fresh, and the ordering process was very simple.
