Apologize for the long review. This is also an important social issue. I am a physician and I have a 9 year old son who is nonverbal and autistic. One of my patients told me that the food here is good. My son recently has been interested in noodles. I was excited to try this place. May 15 th , 2025 I went here. I was giving the order. My son was making sounds as he cannot talk and that meant he was excited. Accidentally he spilled the water while attempting to drink as the cup was full. I was going to switch to the other side on the same table. Suddenly the lady who was taking order asked if I want to go sit in a corner of the restaurant. I didn’t see anyone else there. So I said we were ok where we were. Then she said I’m sorry my manager wants you to move there. I asked her are you serious?. Language skill was poor for her so just wanted to be sure. She again said I’m sorry and walked towards the manager. I turned and looked. There was another lady who was just staring at us. I didn’t not eat as I just left the place. I’m an immigrant myself. The heart of the US culture is that there is a place for everyone. Growing up there was no accommodation for people of different abilities or seniors. I hated that. After moving to the us I have always felt that everyone belongs here and everyone matters. Not just the rich or the abled ones… anyone who supports autism or care for people who are differently abled should be concerned about the attitude of this manager. I am writing this to let the owner know. If the owner does not share the same sentiment he should fire...
Read moreI love this restaurant. The noodles are amazing. Hand pulled or knife sliced, you can’t go wrong. I’ve been here 4 times and had different things every time, all were delicious. Take away was great, but dining in is the BEST. Had the Szechuan chili fish last night, it was INSANE! The bowl was huge, so don’t let the price scare you. It’s $58 but can easily feed four. It comes with rice but we had to have noodles, while here, and what a great decision that was. Pour some of the chili sauce over the noodles and add the tender fish and crispy cabbage, mushrooms etc. on top, thank me later. We decided on medium spice was was quite spicy, but perfect for me. I’m typically a medium spice kinda gal, if you’re nervous about spice get mild, there’s lots of chili oil on your table to add spice if you want more heat, and their chili oil is top notch. We also had the pan fried dumplings and salt and pepper calamari. There wasn’t much pepper on the salt and pepper calamari, but it was delicious with some chili crisp on top. It wasn’t too busy, though we were there on a Friday night. I did see a lot of takeaway and it was quite hot, so people may avoid a Ramen named restaurant thinking it’s too warm, but don’t! there are stir fried noodle dishes, cold noodles and They have sushi, too and the rolls and sashimi are fresh and delicious!! If you haven’t tried it yet, you absolutely must! I didn’t get our server’s name, but she was helpful in guiding us. She even suggested a cold drink like soda to go with our hot fish dish, or...
Read moreMy wife really wanted some ramen for lunch today so we decided to try out Chinese style ramen at Ramen King 2 in McCandless. Damn this was really good.
The beef ramen was incredible, fresh hand pulled noodles, it’s more of a clear broth as opposed to Japanese style but it was so rich and delicious, it had a nice saltiness and the noodles were perfectly soft and delicate with a nice chew. The beef was fatty and tender and everything was well seasoned, it was absolutely the star of the show.
I wanted something spicy so our server suggested the spicy biang biang noodles and wow these were great. Same beef, no soup but they’re covered in the hot chili oil and spices. He even showed me how to mix them so that they don’t get stuck together, and it was so delicious. It wasn’t too overly spicy it was just nice and warm and just enough to clear out your sinuses 😅
The gyoza was delicious really great mix of pork and chives inside, the outside was nice and crunchy with a good fry on it. I really liked it, we’ve had better but it’s a really good one for sure!
The scallion pancakes we had have to be the best we’ve had in the entire city. They were airy and crispy, packed full on onions and flavor. I definitely recommend ordering these for sure if...
