Northway Shoes and Repair — Local services in Ross Township

A BIG Thank you to Northway Shoes and Repair for such thoughtful customer service for an internet order from Colorado Springs! I found them through my internet search for my favorite Birkenstock sandal style, which was recently discontinued. Hooray! They had them, in my size, in a perfect color AND on sale; I even got free shipping with my order of two pairs!

I had a problem while trying to place my order on the website (with PayPal and Discover being declined). So I called them, and a very kind woman listened to my problem and then offered to immediately contact the owners to see if they were aware of any problems with the website and call me back with info. In the meantime, I tried another credit card and my order went through.

I called the store again to let her know I had successfully placed my order. Even though just a few minutes had passed since my first call, she had already contacted the owners (who noted PayPal and credit card companies sometimes flag cross-country activity as "suspicious"). She also noted that she had already received my order (!) and that she'd get it shipped right out!

My Birkenstocks arrived in Colorado Springs six days after I placed my order! They are PERFECT and EXACTLY what I ordered!! I am so happy and thankful I found Northway Shoes and Repair. They have a well-designed website AND they also provide "old-fashioned", one-on-one, personal...

I recently stopped in at Northway Shoes & Repair, located at 6200 Babcock Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, as I had been searching for black leather dye. After visiting several other larger stores without success, I happened to drive by this place and noticed their sign advertising shoe repair services. Intrigued, I decided to take a look inside, and I’m so glad I did!

What initially seemed like just a shoe repair shop turned out to be much more. They offer a wide variety of outdoor gear, including boots, belts, and clothing. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of items they had available, especially considering I was only expecting a repair shop. The store has a great selection for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities, and I expect I’ll be back during the holiday season for unique gift ideas for the outdoorsy people in my life.

The sales associate who assisted me was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She quickly found the leather dye I needed, which they had on hand. The customer service, combined with their vast array of products, really stood out to me.

Overall, this is a great local business with so much more to offer than meets the eye. I’ll definitely be returning soon! Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market for outdoor gear, quality footwear, or need...

I’ve always wanted a pair of cowboy boots..finally was able to afford the expense so I stopped in to this business to order a pair. I have a challenge because my foot is super wide. Ordered a pair of boots they came in and I couldn’t get my foot in them. Was offered to have the boots stretched to see if they could fit before they were sent back.. boots were stretched and still a no go.. the people at the store could see how badly I wanted these boots and wanted them to work. The one gentleman suggested installing zippers on the sides of the boots so I agreed. After 4 trips to the store 3 stretching sessions on the boots and a pair of zippers and leather installed to help my foot get in the boot due to my wide size and large instep I finally have my boots that I’ve always wanted

The people at this store are very nice and passionate about what they do and without all their help I wouldn’t have my boots. They went above and beyond for me and I’m grateful for them. I plan on giving them more business in the near future!!
