Our power went out so I had no ability to make dinner. I attempted to order through the app from McCandless Subway, which is always wonderful, but I accidentally placed the order at McIntyre Square. Upon arriving home 20 minutes away, my 9 and 7 year old boys grabbed subs and informed me that they were both made wrong. I opened mine which was literally cold cheese, onions and green peppers on bread. I call Subway to tell them and they apparently already knew they messed up and put the wrong name on the bag. She asks me to drive all the way back and they will remake my order. At this point, the power came back on and I’m quickly trying to scrape dinner together for my boys and my 15 month old who is beyond overly tired and hungry I said no, I can’t come back tonight, she asks me if I can come back tomorrow. I said “So I can call back tomorrow and someone is going to remember this situation and give me my 3 correct subs?” She asks me to give her my number and she’ll call me back. She calls back and tells me they will “refund” me for my order, but that’s all they can do. Ok, whatever. Then she tells me she can’t ACTUALLY refund me, she will send me the exact amount in a GIFT CARD to return another time 😡 So not only do I end up with no food during a power outage, 3 miserable hungry kids, after driving 40 minutes to get food….now the only thing I get is forced to either return again and or lose out entirely. I absolutely hate going to restaurants in Ross Township and avoid them for this reason. Nothing but mistakes and garbage customer service. This subway had at least 4 employees working on the line and it seemed that not a single one of them were trained and were just thrown on the line and told to figure it out. That is the best I could describe it. every request or question i asked them they looked at me confused and almost tried to act like it didn’t make sense. My boyfriend got a chicken sandwhich and asked for it not toasted. They gave it to him with the chicken cold as well which i know for a fact that you are supposed to heat up when requested to not be toasted unless the customer says otherwise. after we brought it back up they all looked confused as if i had to walk them through how to do their job.
