Booked a private session for our family group of eight ranging from 16 to 50 years old. Reserved online with a very simple process. The host called the day of our session to confirm it and with hints on directions and parking. Very professional and gave me a good feeling before I even got there. Our host, Dave, greeted us with a smile and genuinely made us feel comfortable. Sign in was simple. Everything started on time. During the introduction we could hear another group excitedly cheering. Again, great vibes for what was to come. Our game started and I couldn't be more impressed. Our family got right into it and worked together and individually to solve all the clues. I honestly didn't know how the teenage boys would take to this but I couldn't be happier how they laughed, thought and participated with everyone. The game was very challenging and I was totally impressed how clever it was and how everyone rose to the challenge. Our host Dave was there when we needed him but kept it to a minimum. Just the right balance. When it was over, Dave offered to take a group photo for us. Nice personal touch. I totally recommend this to any families who want an incredibly fun bonding experience. The wife and I are already planning when we can do this again.

Me and my friends played the Do Not Disturb room (12/15/20) and had so much fun! This is one of the toughest rooms at this location, so if you want an extra challenge I definitely recommend this one, even for me and my friend who do quite a few escape rooms and are decent at them, this one really made our brains squeeze. I can’t remember our game masters name but he was a hoot and super helpful, some game masters don’t give you a lot when you ask for a hint but he did it in a great way that guided us without straight up telling us, which is how it should be. We made it to the very last task and missed getting out within seconds, so my competitive self is still mad haha. This room is motel-themed, and when we walked in I literally felt like we had just walked into some trashy, creepy motel room, it was so eery and impressive. The only thing I didn’t really like about the room was that all of the puzzles up until the last one were logic based and fit in with a riddle or something like that, but the last thing we had to do was not like that, it didn’t really have the same consistency which is why I think we struggled with it, but hey still had a ton of fun and would come back again!

Dating in Pittsburgh recently had the pleasure of hosting an exhilarating singles event at Breakout Games Pittsburgh. This event was the perfect blend of puzzle-solving with the excitement of making new connections! When we arrived, we were welcomed by their friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their multiple different escape rooms ensured that all participants had a great time! Breakout Games Pittsburgh was able to run all 6 of their escape rooms at the same time for our participants! The intricately designed puzzles were both challenging and engaging, requiring teamwork and quick thinking to solve. Throughout the rooms, there were tasks specifically designed to encourage collaboration and conversation between participants. Breakout Games Pittsburgh exceeded all expectations, delivering an unforgettable blend of puzzle-solving, adventure, and social connection! We can't wait to go back!

My sister and I went here to check this out. I'll mention the staff was nice- a bit too fast on the info the host gave us. However, when we failed to get out, I told the host that the clues didn't really make sense. The host proceeded to say that they actually do, but they didn't as we needed constant guidance for no reason in the room. If the clues don't make any sense, then they don't make sense for the combos either. Don't belittle the customer for a faulty setup. Also, I had to almost stand on my head just to open a lock because it was too low to see.

It was fun at the beginning, but it quickly became quite frustrating. I was expecting an actual story to start, but it didn't matter because the plot was underwhelming when the info about it is actually found. There's only the entrance and one room- would have been nice to have multiple rooms since you're in a mansion. I didn't get mansion vibes at all from the room.

Figured out a lock combo too early from the clues, and the step before it was redundant. It had to get reset for no reason because I still knew what the combo was. I used the clues in the room to deduct what it was- those clues were simple, but I guess they weren't part of the clues to use.

Some codes and execution didn't make sense. For example, a clue you get doesn't make any sense where you're supposed to use it, so you end up having to get help anyway.

Too many red herrings in the room. Not enough clues that went to the story which were even part of what you needed to get through the room.

We ended up failing to get out, and I believe part of it was due to the next to last lock being the wrong one for the room. There was nothing in the room that gave any clues or info to open the specific lock as we had opened everything we could.

I've played escape games that were more engaging than this one, and the puzzles were more difficult but also made sense with the story. I think we might try another location if we do this again. It doesn't bode well that the reviews for this place seem to have been...
