The store space itself is nice and spacious, however the customer service is horrendous. Went in looking for a shampoo that was on sale and tried to get the attention of 3 different team members for help. 2 made eye contact with me and went the other direction, the 3rd blatantly ignored me while I was trying to ask for help.
Went up to the register, where I asked the staff member if she knew if there were any left. She first asked me "well, did you ask anyone else" and I told her I was ignored. The staff member had to radio 3 times for someone to check in the back for her, the manager, who had been standing behind her the entire time said "no, we definitely don't have any". I asked if there was a way for them to order it for me, and she told me I would have to buy it online because they couldn't adjust it to the sale price in store (they could have, they would have just needed to order BOTH pieces that were a part of the sale deal). I then asked if I could redeem my birthday gift item, and she huffed and rolled her eyes at me.
Having worked in retail for years, I generally prefer to take my business in store rather than online because it benefits them. After today, I'd rather drive 30 minutes to the Homestead location for exceptionally...
Read moreThey offer a great variety of products but have little knowledge of black women's hair. I was looking for a daily cream oil moisturizer. They no longer stocked my favorite product. I sought out help with recommendations from the selections available. The stylist suggested a use a spray on leave - in conditioner on my relaxed hair. đ« Black women with relaxed hair do NOT get their hair wet until it's time to wash it or pull it into a ponytail. Spraying a wet product into our hair would be absurd! In fact, unheard of! She was insistent that I use it daily lololol! FYI a daily cream hair dress can be use as an all over moisturizer for the hair and you can part the hair and apply directly to the scalp because our hair is naturally dry. If I took her advice my hair would be as dry as bone and breaking off.
It was disappointing to run into the store near my home and have the staff clueless about black hair. Then I had to go out of my way to find what I needed and get help by someone who knew what they were talking about. No reason in 2019 a stylist shouldn't be able to be versatile or trained in the basics...

So I was there today at 6:02 pm and no one even spoke to me , they watched me go where the benefit cosmetics are and the girl that was there in that area looked at me and left the area, I stayed there hoping someone was nice enough to even speak but every worker just looked at me until I left, then I came back in because I wanted to speak to someone and when they seen me come in the almost looked nervous as if they didnât ignore me and damn near stare at me the whole time I was in that one area! Got what I wanted and left , I left uncomfortable and I was not treated with good customer service AT ALL. Itâs crazy because when I worked for Ulta a couple years ago they used to get on people about speaking to the customers and making sure to politely check on them , I received the complete opposite of âgood customer serviceâ if youâre African American Iâd go to another cosmetics store or at least a different Ulta because this...
