i have seen no management to speak of...
When I asked to have a salad that i ordered with my meal but did not receive removed from my check, The bartender acted like it was a problem.. she argued with me and said that since I ordered it and didn’t say anything that it was my fault and that I needed to pay for it the manager shane had to be called over
he asked what was wrong w the salad I explained i never received it. they both acted like the problem was that I didn’t say anything...
fwiw The salad doesn’t come out after the main course what am I supposed to do let my food get cold while I you correct your mistake?
thats basic service 101...
I was one of three people at the bar... The bartender didn’t have time to bring me a salad that I ordered but she had time to sit at the end of the bar and talk to Shane the manager like Junior high kids talking about going steady
The manager removed it from my ticket handed the bartender the updated ticket while mumbling something incoherent. The bartender laid the ticket in front of me and they both walked away neither said I’m sorry excuse me we apologize for the inconvenience nothing.
thats not a manager... thats a guy with some management Privileges...
I got a vibe from them kind of like I was scamming them out of the salad that I never received...
expect long waits, expect poor service, expect an uncaring staff...
the food is good if you receive what you order...
update:2021 downgraded from 2 stats to 1
After this happened the next time I went into the place all was well
But then on my subsequent return I was told that I didn’t pay for my ticket...
When I asked what ticket they said it was a ticket from a week or two prior when i had dinner... They could not show me the ticket they could not tell me how much the ticket was for and I had been in that restaurant two or three times in the interim...
Remember now this is the same waitress bartender hack that I complained about previously on two occasions
i explained the last time i ordered food there that I left $20 on the bar for a $14+ bill... because I couldn’t get the waitress to come back and settle me out...
I remember it distinctly because it really bothered me that I was going to give her a 30% tip when again service was so poor, I should’ve just gone to Burger King
the Same waitress that I complained about previously said they never found the money on the bar and told me that I needed to leave because I had stolen from them.
When I asked if they looked at the video they said they had not and that too much time had passed now.
we are all human... Waitresses make mistakes, managers make mistakes...
But this with no mistake this was contrived I understand that when you get poor service you should be able to complain to a manager and hopefully have the situation rectified...
I have worked in the industry for years I’ve had people leave without paying their check, people have a few drinks there hanging out with their friends or on the phone they get distracted it happens...
when they come back in you just give them the check and they settle up. I have never heard of accusing a customer a repeat customer of stealing Over a $14 ticket
The lack of management at this place is beyond compare I challenge anyone to go into that place and sit and watch how the manager shane spends his time.
You’ll recognize him he’s the big guy With bedazzled/ glitter pocket jeans standing at the end of the bar chatting it up with the staff
When I asked the manager to give me the corporate number he said that I could Google it he said it wouldn’t do any good because that Santa Fe was privately owned
I filed a formal complaint With the corporate office I explain to them that I didn’t want any compensation what so ever that I was filing the complaint So the incident was documented... so when the future incidents like this happen they would have a track record to look back on
I wouldn’t go back if I were running for my life I need a...
Read moreTwo weeks in a row of horrible service, lacking food, and a lackluster management team. This review covers two seperate visits, one 9/9/2017, and one 9/16/2017.
The first, the 9th, we got there at 7:01pm. We were told a 15-20 minute wait. We asked for a booth, saw 2 different LARGE booths capable of seating our party remain empty for our entire 42 minute wait before we were seated in a large 'corner' booth, in which we were the ONLY table seated in the section of the restaraunt (so not busy). We asked several times for one of the empty booths we were looking at, but were told "no servers" yet there was servers constantly coming up to the hostesses' table to chat and gossip with the FOUR hostessess and two managers that were standing there.
So we were seated at 7:45 ish. We ordered drinks and appetisers, then 5 minutes later, our meal, and had our appetisers on out table by 8:10. Then we waited. And waited some more. At 9:26, our entrees arrived, one undercooked steak and one of the bbq plates not 'dry' as we asked but smothered in bbq sauce. The manager gave us a 'free app' card and offered $10 off our check.
Then today happened. We went back to Santa Fe to try a birthday dinner, since we had a free app card. We waited for 30 minutes instead of the 20 we were told, but managable. Again, two of our entrees were completely wrong, one completely uneatable, and we waited an hour and 12 minutes for our entrees. The manager said 'oh', wanted to argue that on the "pick two" bbq plate a chicken breast isn't on there (check the menu) and rolled her eyes when we said, um, yeah, it's on the menu and we got it last week. She took the uneatable entree off the ticket, but didn't do anything about the one that was the wrong item, and didn't even offer an "I'm sorry." We're regulars, we spend $80-100 before tip every other or every week at Santa Fe. Even tonight, it was $83 before tip and we still tipped 20%. I'm not sure why we are constantly treated like subpar customers to this manager, but we won't be returning until there has been time to retrain some of the staff.
Oh, and btw, nothing was said about the birthday we were celebrating either. Some customer...
Read moreMy husband and I came in the restaurant on last Sunday evening, 3/27/22 at 845, the restaurant was scheduled to close at 9pm. The hostess, Cameron, greeted us by saying, " hello, table for two," we replied, "yes" she then got two meuns in her hand and then responded, "I'm sorry but we can't seat you at a table cause we close at 9 and they are breaking down the kitchen and the kitchen isn't taking any more orders."
Two minutes prior to us walking inside the restaurant we watched a caucasian family, table of five, come in and were seated. Behind us stood two caucasian gentlemen who were also waiting to be seated. Apparently, the men over heard what the hostess had told us because they looked as if they would be turned around, too. As we were walking out we heard her say, "table for two, follow me this way." Apparently, the young lady thought we had left since we had walked out the first door, but we watched her escort the men to the bar to be seated. We then came back in the restaurant and I said, "Really????" She was shocked to see us return and then replied, "I'm sorry, I didn't know if you wanted to be seated at the bar or not" I said, "well, did you ask?" She replied, "no ma'am, I'm sorry, would you like a seat at the bar" I replied, "no ma'am" and walked out.
If the kitchen had been "closed" like she said, surely it would have been closed for the family of five and the two gentlemen behind us, as well!
I felt very discriminated against, in our little home town of McComb, MS. Racism is still real! Don't think for a moment it doesn't still exist!
I spoke with the kitchen manager over the phone that night and a couple days later I spoke with the general manager about the situation. Shane, the GM, was highly upset about the situation. He told me that he had gotten two other phone calls that same day with similar situations. He said he does not condone this behavior and anyone is welcome to come in, be seated and eat, as long as they're in there before 9pm. He also said that he was going to put a handle on the situation. Shane, continuously apologized for what had happened and would like to accommodate us if we would come back to visit...
