Changing the name on a almost empty mall with the center sitting area with over head windows all abandoned and broken still after all of this time is a sore to the eyes. The town in general is looked at with a high violence rate & “thuggesh” related activities on the news everyday. The mall was called Edgewood for a long time, but the same was a name that didn’t have any kind of tale of ethnicity etc, it didn’t instantly get stereotyped as anything negative etc. mall may be under new owner or management so name had to change but definitely should of been taken into a serious run down of the angels for the new name of a mall. Stop broadcasting the new name to a mall that hasn’t improved or even pretended to look like the interior has been worked on or even will be worked on. Make the mall feel safe and alive, not dusty and broken and old caution tapes still hanging around. This place has a lot of work to do, but with the right leaders could definitely bring this place back to life. Looking forward to see what improvements and changes are to come.

Belk is a large department store. It's neat, clean and the sale associates really know the products in their departments. I knew the shoe I wanted but could not find my size. I took it needs to lady over the department and she immediately went to where that shoe was on display. I thought "I know Where they were found; I'd lookwd about ten minutes trying to find my size! She went one isle over an there was my size in clear view! I purchased the shoes, thanking the sales lady for her help. This has happened numerous times at Belk for me. The personal are friendly, knowledgeable and are really customer oriented.They do all they can to get you the best quality at the least price. If you are pressed for time, know what you want basically, you can be in and out of with it in as little as ten minutes! Its one if most favorite...

We've lost most of our stores worth visiting in this mall. About the only places worth your time are Belk, the knife kiosk, Hibbett Sports and Marshall's.

I'd avoid the phone accessory kiosks since most of their goods are overpriced and aren't of very good quality. Also avoid the deli by the front entrance because it is nothing compared to the Broma's deli in Brookhaven. I might even say that Applebee's food is better.

As far as just being an indoor walking area, it's well air conditioned and you might see some strange locals doing strange things. If you're hunting some ancient relics, I'd start with the pink and teal floor tiles. you could say that they're pretty a e s t h e t i c, if you're one of those Vaporwave kids...
