China Express — Restaurant in McDonough

Well we started out great, and ended not so great. First, with our eat in order came a free 2 liter for the table, PERFECT, don't have to buy drinks!

Crab rangoon and egg rolls were pretty yummy! Hot and sour soup pretty tasty... but it aaaall ended there.

My rice tasted like cleaner, and my "general tsos chicken" was bright red... why do you ask? Well because they used their sweet & sour sauce from what you would typically eat sweet and sour chicken with, which apparently to them, makes it general tsos. ..NO IT DOES NOT. If I wanted sweet and sour chicken, I would have ordered it. It made my dish taste like syrup, not spicy, not anything but SYRUP. So that was out... the only thing left on my plate was the God awful flat-top cleaner tasting rice. So here comes the fun part.

I decided to ask them to recook the rice, not the whole dish (which I should have,) but the rice only.... but would they do that..... NOPE. Instead I was told it was cooked with all the other rice on my company's' plates, and it is no different... aaaaand SO WHAT?!!?!?! If a customer tells you it tastes funny, FIX IT.... Instead I was argued with by the male who rings people up, and instead of creating havoc, I opted to let it sit on my table while my kids ate... They would have gotten a 3 if they had attempted to fix my rice... but for my food tasting nothing like it should, and then arguing with the customer, a giant ONE is what...

Ate there for the first time was excited heard the food was ok. First off the customer service is bad ,no greetings when you walk in and they go about there business ignoring you until you approach the counter. They give you those unwelcoming vibes. Just two days prior their ala carte scoop menu was 1.25 and now is 1.50,ok. I got the bourbon chicken, general tso, lo mein scoops. The old man and lady that took my order where rude and unfriendly, I was hungry so i brushed it off and ordered anyway, big mistake. They continued to be rude and the lady snatched the pen out of my hand when I tried to give it back to her after signing the receipt to pay for my purchase. Got home ate the food and was sick with food poisoning all night. Wasn't even that good.Just recovering from being sick.Dont go there yall, bad customer service, probably old food, unsanitary conditions..My first and last time there. They should be shut down. No respect for the customers and the community that they serve. DO NOT DESERVE YOUR MONEY! IF YOU WANT CHINESE FOOD LOOK FOR ANOTHER...

My kids & I love this place. They are very nice & remember most of their customers. They know what I like without me asking but I do change it up sometimes. They say Hi when people come in & Bye when you leave unless they are talking to another customer. The food has always been good & hot. No matter what time of the day I go its always good. They even make sure not to get onions when they prepare my kids packages. I go here almost once a week sometimes every other week and they always know when its just me or when I'm coming to get food for us all. They always ask me about my day and the kids as I check out and have never been nothing but nice. I have seen a few rude customers come in & treat them ugly but they are still nice & complete the orders nicely. Nothing can be perfect all the time but so far I have no complaints & will continue...
