I never thought I would have to write a bad review about this location, but the General Manager needs to be terminated. Placed a catering order, and after I paid plus tip, they tell me what they don’t have ie plates and tablecloth in which they advertised, and charged me for a drink that was supposed to be free. Not to mention, my catering pick up time was set for 9am and after waiting 40 mins and on hold for another 10 minutes, they finally brought my order out. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience. I paid a $26 dollar tip before I even received their service and when I speak with the General Manager who says he will be there only for another 18 days, I guess he could care less. He didn’t even apologize either. Then he started arguing with me telling me “I’m not giving you anything for free” - I said excuse me??? I didn’t ask for anything for free because I pre-paid $216 that included a $26 dollar tip the day before, so money was not my issue! The lack of service I received was! At what point is it ok to advertise something that according to the general manager, “We never have plates and tablecloths for catering orders” is it ok to have it on the website and not receive it. All I want is what I paid for! This man was the pure epitome of HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! As he continues to argue and talk over me, I asked him to put his self in my shoes. So tell me…I’m sick, and thought I chose a a restaurant that could handle an order that they advertised only for the whole thing to be horrible! I have had plenty of great experiences at this location, but today was the worst for me in years!!! I don’t argue - if I don’t like the service, I don’t patronize and I’m done. Who still carries on like that at a well known chain? Please let this man go, because Cracker Barrel is NOT where he wants to be! I have never had any issues before from anyone at this location, but this definition of Terrible Service was it for me. Too many restaurants in McDonough to deal with this foolishness. I wish I would patronize them again. It was the GM for me - I guess anybody can get a job. No skills or service required. The service provided by the GM was absolutely HORRIBLE and I never like to give bad reviews, but I had time today! I’m still hot! Y’all can have...

On our way home from a trip with our ChapelHill Church from Douglasville, we decided to stop here. It started out great as we got seated quickly when other restaurants had long wait times. However, our waitress took OVER 10 minutes to just take our drink order. Then those took even longer to come out. When we ordered our food, we had a sister who had a special diet due to health issues. Order the campfire shrimp with no seasoning or sausages. When our food came out, my meal was missing, and when the waitress tried to hand my sister hers, she realized it had sausages and stated they couldn't remove them. So my sister ordered steak bites, and I asked for my plate (they didn't make it, I had also ordered the campfire shrimp). Then once our group had finished their food waitress came back and said steak bites can't be made after 6 pm we got there at 630pm,tell me why she didn't know that when she ordered. She stated mine was still being made (i had seen her hand out another to a table that arrived after us). My sister then ordered a steak no seasoning. After 20 minutes, we asked for them to box our plates since the rest of our group had long been finished. Then the check they tried double charging, and after a long debate with two managers (who had verified our order), they removed the extra charge and credited my plate since I never got it. Then, the last straw while on the road, my sister realized the broccoli and steak had seasoning (packed together). She was not able to eat so we had to stop for more...
Read moreI wanted the roast beef however they no longer sell it, they replaced it with pot roast. I didn't care as much for the pot roast, didn't like that dark brown gravy, the roast beef was so much better, guess I won't be going for dinner as much anymore since that was the only thing I would ever get from cracker barrel. The greens came out cold The mashed potatoes on the plate with the pot roast was cold and very stiff. I dealt with the stiff hard mashed potatoes since the roast and gravy was still warm, I sent the greens back because they were too cold and the replacement came out with majority meat and no greens. It was an awful experience. They sent the greens out smoking hot the second time around like they had put them in the microwave, however like I said there were hardly any greens in it it was majority meat, I showed it to the waitress and I told her don't worry about it I'll just deal with it, I ended up taking out over half of the food because it was just meat and I didn't want meat I ordered greens. The corn muffins were different, they weren't like they usually are they had a very smooth top and just tasted different. The whole experience was awful on Sunday for me. The waitress said several people we're sending greens back. She walked past my table with someone else's bowl of greens that she was taking back. I don't know what was going on with cracker barrel on Sunday but it was an awful experience. And they really should bring the roast beef back because it was much better than the pot roast. I don't know why places always mess...
