Wendy's — Restaurant in Meadville

I will more than likely never return to this location. I had problems years ago and decided to give them another chance. All was fine until today. I’m currently getting over a sickness but finally able to eat again. I drove to town with my mask on expecting to do drivethru. At 10am the drivethru was blocked with a delivery truck. Knowing that if I wait for him to leave I could miss breakfast I decided to go in. I sanitized and wore my mask. Stood there for 2 minutes just waiting to be acknowledged. Mind you the dining room is empty and there’s a truck in the drivethru so I am the only customer. Eventually one of the 3 staff I could see the whole time noticed me. She sends someone over (note I am getting over being sick. I have little to no voice). She kept screaming over me instead of trying to hear me. That didn’t even bother me as much. What really triggered me was when I went to get my fountain drink and the machine looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in days. If something out in plain site is this dirty I can only imagine what parts of the store we don’t see look like. I got my food. Felt like it took forever considering the fries were cold and soggy. When I go to leave upset I realize that they’re parking lot feels you’re driving through an ice bucket. I never got a receipt to do a survey and I tried to email and call the customer service number online with no luck. Seems there are a lot of young people working here, which is good that they have jobs, but seems that some of them like to stand around and chat and laugh more so than pay attention to their customers. I was waiting on a strawberry lemonade to complete my order (didn't receive it in the drive-thru), asked 1 girl and she said she would check. I waited 10 minutes without her coming back or anyone else checking on me. Then I asked a young man and he said he wasn't sure and disappeared to the back somewhere. I waited another 10 minutes and finally, a guy who seemed like a manager came out and asked if I had been helped. I told him I was only waiting on a lemonade but had waited for a total of 24 minutes and now the rest of my food was cold. He remade my entire order, got me the lemonade I was waiting for, and apologized immensely. It's good to see young people working, but there definitely needs to be more training on how to handle themselves around customers. I don't need to hear how a girl is having a fight with another girl at school, and how they hate a teacher, or they're mad at someone or anything else. Seems kind of crazy, especially when they don't even greet you at the drive-thru window. They just open the window and keep talking amongst themselves, run your card, hand it back to you, then shut the window while they wait for your food. Update 6/26/25: I had a pleasant enough lunch with my niece today. I haven't been to this location in quite a while after previous experiences. Our food was fresh and the staff, though a bit frazzled because it was busy, were all friendly. My food was prepared accurately and everything was accounted for. I will give this location another chance again... Even though I wish they'd fix the potholes.

Update 12/21/24: I waited almost 15 minutes for my food after checking in for my mobile order at the drive thru because the cashier was left alone and had to call for the other employees to come up from the back for service, after I'd already waited over 5 minutes.... nearly 15 minute wait and my food wasn't even fresh... Not even a little. The nuggets were cool and chewy and the fries tepid at best. (It was only a 3 minute drive home in a warm car.) Also, their drive-thru has more holes than swiss cheese. Beware your tires!!

The dining room remodel is beautiful... our food was slightly lackluster and not entirely fresh but acceptable for fast food I suppose... we found the dining room to be chilly... the staff was extremely helpful and friendly with genuine smiles and laughter shared... all in all it was a pleasant visit today and we will likely...
