Grape Street Bar — Restaurant in Medford

My friend and I went to a special event at Grape Street Bar & Grill for her birthday. The event was a lot of fun and seating was well laid out for the large attendance. Recognizing they are under new ownership, it understandably takes time for the staff to be in sync. Having spoken with one of the owners, Jeremy, who was the manager at that time, I can’t give him enough praise! He expressed a sincere interest with receiving feedback and is eager to build the business with their primary focus on customer satisfaction. Having worked in and around the entertainment industry my entire life, I noticed that he was very observant and attentive to the customers. These are the reasons I’m giving Grape Street Bar & Grill an overall 5 stars! I gave a 1 star rating for service, due to an unfortunate incident with a different staff member. However, I look forward to raising my 1 star rating for service upon my next visit and seeing this venue grow to become Southern Oregon’s #1...

This place ruined our engagement dinner. No dressing/oil/anything on the expensive salad and the burger that was supposed to be well done was essentially raw. The wings on the menu need to be changed to drums because that's what you get. A wing is next to the breast, doesn't touch the ground and has whiter meat. A drum (aka leg) is next to the chicken's waste excretion system and touches the ground where the feces lay. They aren't the same and shouldn't advertised as such. This has been the trend with this place having worse and worse quality service/food. I don't know if this was because it was a take out order and they thought it wouldn't matter because we would be gone, or what. I don't care either. It's even more disappointing to tip 20-25% each time (including this one) and get a mediocre to bad quality experience. You only get one engagement dinner with a person....

5 stars for great live music. 1 star for food. Went there on 11/30 and the music was great and everyone was dancing. The menu looked good so we ordered chicken wings, mac and cheese balls, wrapped shrimp apps. Also the Shepards Pie. I dont know how a cook could mess up chicken wings...but they weren't baked enough or fried at all. The chicken skin was still that yellow white that looks like they're not even cooked.....and they tasted horrible.....I dont know how you can screw up wings, but they were the worst. Also mac ball's were cold in middle. And we waited an hour for main entree and I asked waitress finally, and the waitress said OH! I forgot! But I think it's been ready back there for awhile....I said no thanks. I hope someone starts paying attention to food here...its a fun place but that was some of worst food I've ever had.
