Sunday afternoon, not too busy, but waitstaff not too eager to take and fulfill orders. Receptionist gave off a super put-upon demeanor. Ordered the sausage trio with sour kraut and mustard, came out looking like the sausage had been half-torn apart by hand and tossed on (served on a small metal tray). Also no mustard, but given how it took 20 minutes to be served our first beverages (and ten minutes more for one of us who had ordered a taster and was now waiting for her full-sized selection), I plowed on. It was just meh. My wife had the brisket poutine, with did not have any cheese curds nor seemed to have any brisket. She said the gravy tasted of brisket, and there was certainly a lot of melted cheese blobs, but no curds. She also thought the fries were too skinny. Her friend ordered the brisket pot pie which looked the best appearance-wise, but was also nothing to write home about. The oatmeal stout had a weird bitter/sour aftertaste that my wife did not care for, so I swapped her my pilsner (which was pretty ok I thought) so we wouldn't have to wait an additional 20 minutes for a waiter to show up (seriously, our seating area was waitstaff-less for the majority of the time we were there, almost an hour-and-a-half). I will say that the saison was particularly palatable, and had it not taken so long between waitstaff sightings, I would have gladly ordered another. Hoping they can improve because the place is really nice and cozy, but the service and the presentation left something to be desired today. Picture is of my sausage trio exactly as delivered (after the person delivering had to be directed to our table by the people next to us).

Went on a double date and we all ordered beer because there was a wait. I thoroughly enjoyed the Snuffler, an American IPA. We sat down and ordered nachos with pulled pork. The nachos were tasty as well as the pork but they added a lot of fat and skin roch meant less pork. I ordered the Brewer's Salad with brisket and I have to say it was a very disappointing salad. It was plain with hardly anything that the menu description said. It was supposed to be a mix of arugula and romaine lettuce but there was no arugula. I was supposed to bacon but there was a 1 tsp of it. The brisket was super tasty but $12 for a very underwhelming salad? Not getting that again. My husband's combo plate was nice. Come to the restaurant knowing they can be out of items. We dined on a Saturday evening around 730p.m. and they were out of specialty drink, ribs and many other items. No worries, my husband's combo meal came with more brisket and sausage instead of ribs. Very tasty and flavorful. Lots of menu descriptions indicate that it's in the Texan style of BBQ but it really is not. Being from Houston, the brisket was definitely alot more fattier, BBQ sauces were all too sweet and the brisket beans were also too sweet. Even so, we would come back and try something different . The beer was very good .

The beer is good. Not super special but definitely hits the spot. The wings are excellent. Try the honey sriracha garlic wings for sure. Those are my two stars. Literally all of the rest of the food is bad. The pulled pork is very dry. The ribs are over cooked. The brisket is tough and dry. I’ve even been served a little plastic cup of cole slaw that smelled like it had been in the fridge for weeks. This place has a huge wood fired pizza oven now that probably can do 900 degrees, and yet the pizza comes out with the cheese barely melted, no browning, and the crust, which is nice and thin, raw in the middle. I get not being able to nail a really nice brisket, that’s difficult. Ribs too, pretty easy to overcook. But literally any amount of care put into the food and it would be a much nicer place to eat. Leave the pizza in until the top is nicely browned. Throw out the cole slaw after one day, not two weeks. Serve the Mac and Cheese HOT! It’s not that hard. I will be coming back for those wings and I hope that some day I can order something else and enjoy it. Service is always good by the way.

The joint just opened within the last six weeks or so, so there are still a few details of their business posted on I-O-U notes in the corners--like the need of info on the website or the fact that you cannot yet purchase a glass with their logo. Those things aside, they responded very quickly and politely when I emailed them about their hours of operation (Yes they ARE open for lunch!).

Dining there was exactly what I wanted from a Brew pub. The décor is rustic and elegant with artwork including the tap-handles of all the local greats delivering a sense of happily belonging to a community of trade artisans. It's rough with a polish, and it's clean. At no point did I receive the impression that they were greedy for business or desperate to get attention. They are what they are, and they're cool if you want to come and see. There were plenty of tables, but not too packed in together for the kind of atmosphere such venues provide.

The food is artistic in texture and flavor. The red cabbage cole slaw (and I don't like slaw as a rule) on the BBQ Pork sandwich pretty much says it all. Needless to say it had not been floating in watery mayo all day. It was delicious! All the elements worked together very nicely in gastronomic symphony. I enjoyed their zing on BBQ sauces (nice to have a choice, and not too overwhelming). The food was much better than I expected for a place who's main draw is fabulous tap-line of beer. Even something as simple as cheese pizza had a signature twist, I knew I wouldn't get anywhere else.

At that point, the Beer was just a bonus--even though I might not have gone there except for the beer. I'm a lover of the basic IPA. I drank two, sampled one and was all around delighted with their characteristic sensitivity to flavor, texture, and craft. Their product is distinct without being distracting. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and commend this experience to beer and food...

Edit in response to owner - we were there on Sat May 20. The Stout, the oat and I can't remember the third that I ordered (was more excited for the first two, lost interest by the third) were amongst those kicked that day. I ended up drinking something called Mier Poy? Which I was told replaced the Stout. I'm pretty sure it was a lager that another person ordered at the table that was also kicked.

Maybe we got there at a bad time, around 7, but it was not packed at that moment and we walked right in and grabbed a table. I ordered a beer, only to have the server return a while later to inform me that the tap was out. Then this happened two more times, with the next two beers I tried to order. I think at that point the server should have written down everything that was kicked (most of the menu) and let us know so we weren't struggling to find drinks (two other people with us also ordered beers that were not available).

When it comes to food, I ordered the BBQ platter and frankly, for a place that advertises as a BBQ brewery, it sucked. Got a lot of charred fat, not much meat. Asked server what happened to the cornbread and I was told, oh we are out of it (would have been nice if she told me that when I placed the order). Was up charged $1 for the beans, which I didn't even liked bc they were spicy (which wasn't really spelled out in the menu). None of the BBQ sauces were really my style and I'm not a huge fan of using condiments in those plastic bottles that are never washed out. Not really a place I'd go back to, there are better breweries and certainly much better food options in the area.

The other folks with us tried the BBQ sandwich (equally disappointing) and two split a chicken pesto pizza, which they said was very good. We split fried pickles and those...

My wife and I went here for a rare date night with no kids. We drove 1 1/2 hours because of the pictures and descriptions which were anything but accurate. The picture of the stacked wood, it's the only nice wall in there the rest is concrete blocks and not like a cool rustic style more like a we ran out of money when we remodeled.

We have been to several breweries and while some better than others this one was the worst. After negotiating with the waitress to taste a few of the beers on the menu we made our selections. I chose the cider which was average at best and my wife had there house ipa ( forget the name) which was bready and tasted like a 6 month old bottled ipa at a ghetto liquor store.

We started with the brisket fries for an appetizer. The fries were reg Sysco restaurant fries nothing special but for ten dollars I was def hoping for handcut fries. They we're topped with what I believe was a canned brown gravy and a few spots of melted cheese on top. I dug and dug but found not one piece of brisket. When I told the waitress she advised me it was just a brisket gravy however I told her they were called brisket fires. She finally took them and told us she'd get brisket which might have redeemed this experience. A few minutes later, the waitress came back and told us the cook burnt the brisket on the fries and that was the last of their brisket. I asked for the check and the waitress did give us a free drink so kudos for that but overall this place a brewery that doesn't k ow how to make beer or cider for that matter. They portray a brewery that specialized in BBQ yet they are out of brisket at 10 pm on a Saturday night???

Don't waste your time or money on...
