Amazing coffee shop! This has to be one of the nicest ones in Medina. It ticks many of the coffee shop must haves when it comes to the vibe. They even have a childrenās play area and 2 private rooms to rent for a very reasonable price if you need a quiet meeting space.
For the coffee they have a new flavor every month which is a great way to keep people coming back to experience new flavors. The service was very friendly and polite. Itās always a joy seeing happy people work at coffee shops which can be hard to find sometimes.
I got a hot flavor of the month latte (I canāt remember which one it was at the time of writing this) and my wife got the iced version with the lemon cold foam. I love the presentation for both! The flavor of the month was good but the only concern is the flavor is the coffee itself which was basically non existent. As a latte enthusiast I love a good espresso flavor balanced with the flavored syrup, so the issue is either the roast they have is too light for an espresso, the grind is too coarse and not fine enough when extracted or they are not adding enough grounds or pulling enough espresso into the cup. If they work on their espresso flavor this place would be top of my list for coffee shops in the region.
Iām looking forward to trying their crepes next time we visit when weāre in the area. Iām so glad thereās a very nice option for coffee in Medina and when/if they ever figure out their espresso flavor it will make this place one of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's not special, it's safe. If you want to get the same experience you get at any cafe that's been created in the past 5-6 years then this is the place. It's the same color scheme, black and white walls, gold or brass stools, some pictures and maybe a plant or two like every other cafe.
I'm not quite sure what they're a trying to do as far as creating a space, there's a children play area with an adorable little kitchen, some silent rooms you can study/work at. They sit behind sliding farm style doors, one of which managed to get off the rail or something and locked this woman in when she was trying to exit the one on the right.
Service is average, when I walked in they asked what we wanted and I said I don't know because they don't list anything other than your standard drinks. As far as flavor you'll have to ask unless it's the seasonal, which the seasonal when we went wasn't that good. They use artificial syrup. The crepes aren't that good.
The worst part of it all is the stupid to-go cups that they have.
Everything that they have done is a carbon copy of every other cafe, it's the same experience and nothing special. I feel like the owners knew that and they were like we need something to set us apart from Cool Beans or Kellers cafe, let get these stupid spiral cups.
This cafe is the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit: Changing my review to 5 stars because of the response! I really appreciate the response and offer to make it right. That goes a long way for me. I mostly just wanted to make them aware of it, I wasnāt looking for a refund or anything. Great place!
Iāve been here a handful of times now and I think their coffee is great! Pricing is on par with all the others though, which means maybe a tad expensive, but thatās everything these days. I love that they offer crĆŖpes, however, I will say that when offering sweet and savory options keeping ingredients separate is really important. I ordered a cookie butter crĆŖpe that started off delicious until I got half way through and began tasting what seemed like bacon and onion. I found some rogue everything seasoning bits which explains the flavor. You can imagine cookie butter and onion doesnāt taste very good. I ended up throwing the rest away which was such a waste, especially considering the price. Itās a small thing of course and is something that can be difficult to avoid, I just may stick to coffee...
