If you are going on value for your money, The China Buffet gets five stars. Is the place a Chinese palace? No Is their menu HUGE? No But what they have is very good. The service is fine, but everyone is very hard to understand, very heavy accents if they speak English. They all understand it it seems. Everyone in my family loves the place and we eat there when guests come in to town. Again, if you are being honest and fair, if you are rating on value for your money, TCB should always have a 5. After reading other reviews I wanted to add. It seems people have great expectations. And to each their own. Everyone's tastes are different. One complained about decor, does the place need sprucing, yes, but their prices are incredibly low for a buffet, so they may not have the money for a make over. Others complain about the food. That is subjective. I have eaten at other buffets be they Chinese, American, Mexican. And feel that for taste TCB is better. I have eaten at many places and there are better yes, you pay much much more for it too. In the end, are the negative reviews correct? Yes. For those people it is. But for a great many others TCB is a great meal at a...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to go on a little date night and chose the China Buffet my mom always took me to when I was a kid. When we walked in and we were seated to our table, there was old potatoes and macaroni noodles on the floor in front of our table. The seats were cracked and you immediately sunk into the booth. My boyfriend and I go grab our plate of food. Not only was the food not hot or fresh, but there was a small black/white hair on the side of the plate. Good part is that it was on the very edge of the plate away from my food but I noticed it after I took a couple bites. The food was absolutely terrible. The crab Rangoon was old and hard. I told the waitress about my concerns with my food and she offered me $5 off my order. She didn’t offer a full refund for the nasty hair that was on their plates in the beginning, but insisted on giving us $5 off. We paid $26 and something cents for an absolutely terrible Chinese Buffet. Will not go back. Hope this review...
Read moreI consider myself a Chinese buffet addict. I have to try them all! So far, I've been to more than forty of them over my lifetime...and adding a few more every year during my travels. I arrived at this spot about an hour before they closed, so my expectations were not high considering you typically are going to find old, cold, and empty pans of food this late in the day. They did a good job of batch cooking, so I never really had to deal with empty pans. Some of the food had been sitting for a while but it didn't matter as this was some of the best food I've eaten from a Chinese buffet. Full of flavor...wow, nice job! They had a fresh pan of what they called roast chicken, and OMG, it was good! Everything I tried was great except the sliced potatoes. Pot stickers, chicken on a stick, and egg rolls all above average. I don't give out many 5 stars, but I have to this time. Highly...
