Save your money and just go to imos pizza honestly. Only reason they get a one star for food is because I can’t give zero stars. My husband and I are new to the area we stopped by for a quick bite and everything was going fine, our waiter was super nice so this is nothing against him at all! Credit where credit is due. I got street tacos al pastor and carnitas they were okay not the best but I recommend the carnitas more, my husband got a huge dinner plate it came with chile relleno, tamale, tostada, hard shell taco, enchilada, (one of everything) then some rice and beans, my husband is not a picky eater at all he’ll eat anything and everything so when he didn’t eat his plate I asked why and he said it’s not good at all! Which is fine if you don’t like it then you don’t like it. The problem was when we tried taking it off our tab the manager came over and I said we didn’t eat/ like it at all (other than the rice and beans and just a few bites of everything to try it) and we’re not taking something home that we’re just not going to eat, she came at us with the worst attitude possible (mind you I’ve worked in restaurants before my whole life and would never talk to anyone like this) she said “well you ordered it” ma’am I know i ordered it, its right there lmfao. I asked her to give us at least half off on it because it was terrible!! It tastes like canned mole and the ground beef tasted like it was fake!! Maybe we’ll give it another chance but after getting attitude from a MANAGER the chances are slight. Also very overpriced for the taste of everything, again don’t recommend going here if you want to keep...
Read moreService is awful at this place. I will give it one star because the food is the closest thing to authentic Mexican in the St. Louis vicinity. I’m from a large city (Chicago) where restaurants are always busy with plenty of people and yet service is pretty fast. Well at this restaurant we waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food, by the time we got our food we weren’t hungry anymore and we boxed everything to go. We had a table of 7 and didn’t order anything extravagant but our server forgot to add one dish to our ticket that took almost two hours to come out! There was another server named Sarah that was extremely rude! My brother in law asked her for a coffee and she responded with “you’re going to have to wait, don’t you see that I’m busy.” When we brought our concerns to the manager on duty he apologized and proceeded to say that there was nothing he can do about our concerns. I don’t know if they were short staffed because know one Let us know but it was only 4 other small families in the restaurant. They also had 5 other tables that became unoccupied and they hadn’t been cleared for 30 minutes, our server began clearing them by the time we were leaving. This is by far the worst service we have experienced in this city. We were very excited to try this place out based on other reviews but very disappointed after our experience. The food isn’t horrible but it’s definitely not worth the wait nor the awful customer service all the employees displayed. El Maguey has very similar dishes and I think that’s what we’ll stick to next time we visit and crave...
Read moreNice atmosphere but food and service are desperately lacking, they really skimped on portions and quality. My margarita was served in a dixie cup. I wasn't asked if I wanted salt on the rim, which I did not but I got it anyway because I didn't think to tell them. We had to ask for salsa and chips refill, waitress didn't seem very happy to get it for us. Salsa was tasty. 2 nacho plates came without any cheese at all, waitress took them to the kitchen and came back with very little cheese added, no apologies whatsoever. Hardly any sour cream or guacamole on the nachos. 1 nacho plate was missing beans, which we didn't even get to tell the waitress about because she never came back to see how our meal was. Chicken enchiladas meal came with no more than a tablespoon of guacamole, not enough for 3 enchiladas. I asked the waitress about it and she said that's the amount they always serve and that I could pay for extra. Chicken was dry and tasted like it came from a can. Carne asada burrito was bland, steak had no flavor plus hardly any sour cream or guacamole. Everyone's food came out at different times. I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to love this place because it's decoraded so nicely inside... but I won't be back because the workers have no personality and they take no pride in their food at this place. I truly think they just...
