Exotic Shisha Lounge — Restaurant in Mehlville

Exotic Shisha lounge is my local shisha joint I frequent. The staff is always super friendly and very approachable if anything is needed. You'll always hear of reviews from people commenting on dry and/or hot smoke and such, but I've only experienced this very few times. When it does happen the staff if more than happy to take the bowl back and fix it for you; which is very appreciated! What I respect (which I've only heard from other patrons) is that they use certain hookahs for certain flavors, so that the taste of the flavor is pure and strong, so that's awesome! They use large natural coconut coals which is also a huge bonus. The servers seem to always be there at the right time when you need fresh coals. The sofas are very comfortable especially if you have a nice cappuccino or hot chocolate which they make in house! Parking has never been problem as well, which I know has been a big problem for other past and even present hookah joints. The men's bathroom is always clean as well. My two major drawbacks for me is sometimes the music can be a tad too "clubish" for me. However, this is a personal preference of mine, so I can't speak on the behalf of most other patrons. Every now and then they do play some classics! I have noticed that some of regulars can be a tad intimidating as they usually come in large groups, take up most of the space, and tend to be a little louder than they need to be. This can be slightly off putting, but the lounge has no power in this, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. I visited this place yesterday as a recommendation and I will NOT be returning. My waitress was EXCELLENT (Drea) and I loved her personality. She was the ONE thing that got this place the ONE star I gave. The other patrons were noticeably RUDE to her and management just stood by and allowed it. They treated her as if she was infected or something. They barely made eye contact if any at all, they threw their money at her when she had her hand out and I sat as they GOSSIPED about her. I recently visited this hookah place for the first time, and unfortunately, it will be my last. From the moment I walked in, I encountered a corpulent woman with long hair who seemed to have an attitude. It felt as if she knew me and was instantly annoyed by my presence. She took my order in a dismissive manner, making me feel like I was bothering her.

I also witnessed her yelling at another customer just for asking about charcoal, which was quite unsettling. To add to the disappointment, the hookah was tasteless, and my latte was served cold.
