Food was not good enough to warrant what was spent. Very unhappy with my experience. Only went there because my son had won an award and received a GIFT CERTIFICATE for a free kids meal. I purchased the groupon with the sole purpose of using his GIFT CERTIFICATE. Ruma's would not honor their GIFT CERTIFICATE since we had a groupon. I tried to explain that it wasn't a coupon or another offer, it was a GIFT CERTIFICATE. I tried to let my son redeem it on another order but they refused since we would be eating at same table. I asked for the name of the manager and was told I would be wasting my time since this came from the owner Brock who was outside and told her what to say. He never came inside to address me personally, just sent his young counter girl in to do his dirty work. I said to let him know that I felt it was unfair he received advertising for being a sponsor and taking credit for donating a prize to a second grader that was announced at his school and throughout the community in a newspaper article yet didn't honor his end of the bargain. She said he donated the prize before he knew he would have a groupon. I told her I did not understand what that had to do with anything. Like if he knew about the groupon...he would not have taken advantage of free advertising? What a horrible way to do business. I never would have purchased the groupon had I known and I definitley wouldn't have spent a total of almost $23 for crappy food and rude, horrible service. The entire restaurant was dirty and it is very old and dingy. I am amazed they are able to stay afloat and afford to stay in business. And it is a real shame they lied to the Kiwanis of South County organization and pretended to support school age children in the community. Shame on...
   Read moreMy office went on Ruma's website today & we called and placed a rather large order. The lady on the phone gave me my total. After totaling up all of the money that was collected I realized we were a couple bucks short, so I put a few of my own dollars in there to make up the difference & figured I would work it all out when I got back to the office with a receipt. I took the menu we printed off of their website with me into the restaurant. While waiting my turn I grabbed their menu off of the counter & realized that the pricing was higher. When it was my turn, I asked the lady if she knew the pricing on their website was incorrect. Her reply was just a very snotty "yeah". I then explained to her that normally my office normally tips very well when we carry out, but since I had to cover the difference with my own money, there would be no tip today. Again with a very snotty attitude, her response was just "ok". I gave her exact change, took my food and left.
Had the food been great, we could have overlooked it, but the Gerber had very little meat/cheese on it. In the past, when ordering this sandwich it has always come with a side of pickles, which were not included with any on this order. The baked pastas were poorly packaged & leaked all over the place.
This used to be one of my favorite places to go.....not anymore. We decided as an entire 100+ employee corporation today, that we won't be back....
   Read moreAgainst my better judgment per my child request wanting to have dinner tonight from Rumaâs deli, we order it and yet again another problem with this place I have nine items in my order and I sit through the drive-through for 30 minutes before getting service and the lady hands me four items and told me to have a good night and walks away I then wait for her to come back and she doesnât so I ring the doorbell mind you there is a line in drive-through so there is more than me in drive-through. She comes back and I let her know that I have way more items in my order she goes in checks and comes back and says that being I ordered online, they only saw the top half of my order and not the bottom half so theyâre gonna need about 10 more minutes to cook the food. Thats an issue right there. You shouldâve seen my entire full order if we were paying attention and I waited another 20 minutes for my food. I will never be ordering from this place again and management really needs to get a check on the service that they provide. I will be writing other reviews on all the other platforms. Not to mention, after 50 minutes of waiting and drove home all our food is cold. Wait 30mins for food. Get not even half your order. Have to wait another 20mins. Just to get home and it...
