I’m starting to think my local Starbucks is a secret government experiment in frustration, not a coffee shop. My attempts to get a simple Pike Place have more plot twists than a telenovela.
This week’s saga: Drove over, craving my fix. Window out of service, doors are locked. Why? Not because it's 3 AM, but because the card reader was “having a moment.” Maybe decided to take a vacation, idk 🤔 The barista shrugged with the existential despair of someone who has tried to reboot it 100 times. I had exactly 37 cents in my pocket can’t pay with cash 😭
The week before that, the entire store was closed due to “water issues.” I didn’t know if they meant a broken pipe or that the mermaid had finally flooded the place in a fit of rage.
I’m not just a customer anymore; I’m a detective on the worst show ever, always investigating “The Case of the Missing Macchiato.” Are they closed for a private yoga session? Did the espresso machine unionize and walk out? Is there a portal to another dimension in the bathroom that keeps malfunctioning? Is another high-school teen getting ready to drive thru the window?
At this point, I get better service from my own kitchen sink. And the coffee is almost as good. Save yourself the trip and the existential dread. Just boil some water at home and stare at a wall. It’s the same experience, but...
Read moreThis has to be the worst starbucks on the east coast. As I patiently and politely waited for my order the store employees proceeded to help everyone one around me that arrived long after me all the while I received dirty stare downs from not one but all the employees on duty, after the 15min mark an employee finally approached and ask for the name and said oh your order is ready over there someone just needs to bag it the walked off and got back to helping new arrivals to the establishment. After approximately another 12min the employees had a huddle to discuss who is going to bag my items and serve me. Then they went back to work as if I was a ghost in the room. After another 5min an employee went over and bagged my order and brought it over and slammed the bag down infront of me. I politely said thank you and she rolled her eyes and walked off causing other store patrons to stare as if there were some reason for the treatment they might have missed. These employees lack in training and basic people skills. Read moreI recently visited your locaction this past weekend and arrived at the drive through shortly before 0530. The facility appeared to be open and people were inside roaming about. I sat at the drive through for a moment and decided to procced to the pickup window. I sat at the widow as the employee made eye contact with me but no attempts to take my coffe order. Eventually a young lady open the window at 0528i to inform me that 0530 is there business start hours. I acknowledge an ask if its ok to place my order, she said no i will have to drive back around and place my order at the drive through menu. In the past I have place additional request after getting to the window so I wasn't happy after waiting and being told to go back through the drive through that was full with cars.
