My husband and I have been to this establishment 3 times. Now usually they say 3rd times a charm, well not in this situation. First 2 times were great. This last time which was August 29, 2023, placed my online order at 1:42 p.m. I was given the pickup time of 2:45 p.m. We arrived at 2:38 p.m. Carhopper approached our vehicle at 2:45 asked for name on the order and said that our order would be on its way out. Now this is were things get interesting, at 3:30 p.m my husband called the restaurant to see what the delay was, the gentleman (whom answered the phone) stated to give him 5 minutes they were dropping the fish. Okay, fine we waited. Now during this time all sorts of cars whom have just pulled up were being served their food moments after arriving while we sat still waiting. Now it's 4:00 p.m and we're still waiting. My husband called inside again, this time a young lady answered and stated that there was still a wait by this time I intervened and asked how, she put the the man on the phone from before, whom gets on the phone with this fake sarcastic voice saying to unforseen events he had to change his grease and he didn't want to serve us the fish.He wanted us to have( top of the line, good, fresh, crispy, brown, quality fish.)Even offered a gift card, stating it would only be 10 minutes. Okay once again we agreed to wait. Only for a young man to come tell us verbally our food would be out in a minute until he returned at 4:30 stating there's still going to be a minute before our order is ready and would we like some extra lemonade with the order. At that point my husband asked if he would cancel the order. Because we had wasted more than enough time at this establishment. We left there at 4:34 p.m without ANYTHING. NOT NOTHING! AFTER ALL THAT WAITING.We will not be returning. That was very unprofessional and they need...

I visited Brain Food for the very first time, and let me just say… WOW. The name alone caught my attention — “Brain Food” already sounds like something different, something nourishing — and it absolutely delivered!
I ordered the salmon slider bites, and they were out of this world! Perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and full of fresh flavor. I could tell right away this wasn’t fast food — this was real food, prepared with purpose. And to top it off? Their homemade Kool-Aid made with real fruits and ingredients — not the artificial stuff — was the cherry on top. Refreshing, vibrant, and so good!
But what truly made my visit unforgettable was the young man who cooked AND served my meal: Markal. Not only did he prepare my food with care, but he also stepped out from behind the scenes to personally bag my order and hand it to me. That small gesture showed so much about his character — it’s rare to see a chef go the extra mile like that. It’s the kind of humble leadership and team spirit that sticks with you. He’s not just cooking; he’s representing something greater. That impressed me more than I can even say.
The energy in this place is different. It’s a space filled with purpose, flavor, and people who care. I also noticed other small businesses operating in the same space, but Brain Food really stood out to me — in name, in taste, and in service.
To Markal: Thank you for not only making my food with love, but for stepping up and serving with humility and pride. You made this first-time visit feel personal, and I’ll definitely be back. If you’re reading this and wondering if you should try it — YES. Go now. Support this gem and give them the five stars they truly...
Read moreOn Saturday, May 11th, I came here because I heard so much about Brain Food. I drove from Bartlett, and arrived around 6:30pm. The young lady came to my truck and asked if I'm was placing an order or picking up. I told her that I was picking-up, so she went inside to get a menu for me. I asked her if they offered Military Discount, she didn't know, and went back inside to asked. She came back and told me No, which is OK, I told her that I'm ready to place my order. She said that I can go online to place it. I ordered my food, but it would not take. I called the young lady back over and told her what was going on. She said ok, let me go see what's problem. I waited 15 min, and then called the young man over and told him everything. He said that they had turned the Online order off. I than said, ok I would like to place an order. He then said, No we are not taking anymore orders. Again, I explained everything to him and he said I'm sorry, we're not taken anymore orders, but you can come back on Tuesday. I said look that young lady right there is the one that went to see why the online ordering wasn't working, and never came back. I've been waiting 15 mins for her to let me know why I can't place my order, REMIND YOU that I got here at 6:30. She then said, "he's my supervisor and I have to do what he tells me." BOTH of them are young, and to ME very very inexperience and need to be retrained on Customer Services. I drove all the way from Bartlett just to get turned away with nothing. I'm very very upset...
