Pastor Tim is great. The food is better than 98% of the hibachi places in Memphis according to someone who grew up with a Japanese grandma’s cooking. The wait times are king, as this is a startup/pop up kitchen with a small crew. They do there best to give honest wait times when you order and are very nice when picking up. He had me try it before I left to give feedback and make sure that everything was good. My wife is a picky eater especially when it comes to Japanese style fried rice. Today was my last day supporting this business. $10 for six small pieces of shrimp (picture shows 5 because I ate one to see if maybe they were lined with gold for it to be $1.82 per shrimp) is egregious and just downright greedy. I’ve noticed that the portions have shrunk and yet the prices have increased. To have 3 pieces of broccoli, 7 pieces of carrots, 4 pieces of squash and a smidge of onion is truly disappointing and unacceptable. Where do I start? From the very first encounter with Hood Hibachi; it was indeed a pleasure. Tim is not only professional and humble his is an outstanding chef. I reached out to Tim a few days before my daughter's grad party and he came through. This is the absolute best Hibachi I have ever had. All of our guests were ranting and raving about his rice.
