This is the only time I have really been disappointed by this chick fil a. I ordered via the app around probably 9:30. Yes breakfast time, but I ordered some lunch items as well. I do this all the time. I am well aware of the wait. I was happy to wait! I’m not in any rush and I see they are busy. They usually are very efficient and get things done when the can be done and they do great work. Most of the time. Today was not that time. I initially went because I heard they have new cheese sauce and I was intrigued so I decided to try it out. I arrive and start waiting for my order close to 9:40. Again they’re busy. I’m not in a rush, no big deal. Other people seemed to be in more of a hurry, I’m just trying to be easy and patient. They get my order ready and I am out the door 2 minutes until 10 aka lunch. It still being morning they didn’t have the cheese sauce ready. It was the sole reason I got chick fil a to begin with, but it was a big ask early in the AM and I probably should have known better. No big deal. Plus they gave me an ice cream instead because I had paid for the sauce. I was happy and left. Then I get home. Everything is there but it seemed stale to be completely honest. Mind you I was not in a hurry at all and know the standard fil-a sets for itself, which I am always happy to wait for because they always deliver. The fries weren’t even hot, I actually tried to microwave them to heat them up, but they were just... not good. Old. Forgotten fries. Hash browns, same story. The chicken minis were perfection! Delicious. I ordered a fillet of chicken for my dog for breakfast (because she’s worth it) and it was also perfect! Perfectly crispy beautiful golden color, juicy, and delicious. She was happy. The spicy chicken sandwich with no pickes, also great, maybe a bit dark, but hey! It’s the spicy sammich and still delicious. Then I get to my regular sandwich (ordered with extra pickles because my boyfriend doesn’t like them so I usually take his. Instead he ordered his without them and I just put extra). It’s thin, too dark, dry, overly crispy, feels like it has been fried twice, just.... not good. Also, no pickles anywhere in sight! It was as if I had ordered it last night and then tried to make it passible to eat the next day. Not the usual juicy delectable chicken fried in peanut sauce that I know they deliver every day (save for Sunday’s). I’m not mad, just disappointed. Very disappointed, especially because I am always happy to wait. Instead I felt like a rushed out afterthought with...
Read moreI know my experience is only based on one visit. But I tend to hold Chick-fil-A in a higher standard. As I’ve never had a bad experience before at any other location.
I arrived at this location, parked in one of the empty spots by the store. From the drive-through line at the entrance, the area I parked at was the only accessible part. There were no numbers indicating this was where curbside pick up would be at other locations. Signs pointing to the entrance. When I entered there were locations for delivery drivers to pick up. Tables were blocking the way to the register. I was a little confused so I waited get get someone’s attention.
A few people were standing in front of the register. I assumed customers. After about a five minute wait, I realized they were employees when they turned around and I saw their name tags. Still standing there. Watching the workers do their job or sit around in the chairs on break. Anytime one looked in my direction I raised my hand to ask a question of how I needed to order without going through the drive-through.
I ended up waiting around another 10 minutes. Never getting the attention of any of the workers. I could see the drive-through line continuously building up. With the only option in the app of drive-through or curbside pick up. I couldn’t fathom where curbside could be as I didn’t see a way around the drive-through line.
I finally gave up and went to my car. The drive-through line was blocking my ability to leave. Waited a few minutes so I can back up and leave through the same way I came in. I drove around to the road on the other side of the building. I could see what looks like a parking area for curbside pick up. But the drive-through line was wrapped around bumper-to-bumper. At this point I just gave up and went back to work.
I won’t return to...
Read moreHello. I want to voice the fact that I am very, very upset. I placed an order and NEVER GOT MY FOOD. Yesterday (10-25-23) I placed an online order at the Union Avenue location in Memphis, TN. I parked in space 24 in order to receive my curbside order. After waiting a longer-than-usual amount of time, I saw my delivery being brought out by a young lady. Having ordered an ice cream cone, fries and a soft drink, it was easy to assume that it was my order being carried out. On lunch break from my job, I was pleased to finally see her as I was in a time crunch and needed to get back to the office. I watched the young lady come to the middle of the parking lot, do two awkward circles in the parking lot and then walk back inside of the building as if I wasn't there. She looked for my white car, I'm sure, but she only looked in the pickup spaces closest to the door she had exited. Pickup parking spaces labeled in the 20's are farther away in the parking lot. She never even attempted to walk further. Was she lost? Had she never delivered further than a few feet from the carry-out door? Either way, I NEVER GOT MY FOOD!
I went inside of the extremely crowded building and was ignored as I didn't want to stand in the long line, so I stood less than three feet away from the cashier hoping to quickly obtain my order. Many people would have caused a scene at this point. The cashier made obvious eye contact with me several times and never said a word. To make it worse, she was ringing up the very same young lady that had caused all the inconvenience in the first place. I had used 1000 rewards points on this order... for nothing. The points were deducted, but the food was never obtained. The only reasons I eat here are because of the usually timely service and the fact that the reward...
