Guthrie's — Restaurant in Memphis

Food was great, the fries were a bit crunchier than I would like but otherwise good. The front of house staff seemed lazy and unaware. When I went back up to the counter to get a refill of water the only staff member in sight was sitting in the lobby on her phone, I waited what seemed to be almost 5 minutes with no avail. I had to reach behind the counter and fill up my water myself because there was no one at the counter. After this I was met with a very rude remark from the worker sitting in the lobby who i then realized had been staring at me the whole time saying, “you are absolutely not allowed to do that.” To which I replied, “maybe if you weren’t sitting down instead of doing your job I wouldn’t have had to” otherwise nice restaurant with hot...

First experience: Went drive-through (pandemic), waited a fairly long time even though there were only about 4 cars ahead of me. Food was hot and seemed fresh. They forgot to put ketchup in my bag, or even ask me if I needed any. Drink was full of ice, barely enough room for any liquid. Chicken was very good. BUT ITS EXACTLY LIKE ZAXBYS. down to the crinkle fries (that weren't even seasoned), toast and slaw. And it's a few bucks more expensive.

Zaxbys has been and will continue to be my go to when it comes to fast food type fried chicken tenders. More food, less money. Way more options as well. I dont see this place being around for long, but that's just my opinion.

I usually go to the Guthrie's at Dexter, now I see why...I asked for a snack but didn't know that a snack would yield me pretty much chicken nugget sized chicken tenders. One car had just left the drive thru before I ordered. This location doesn't get much business but I had to wait longer than expected to get home to chicken nugget sized chicken tenders. Huge disappointment. Won't be back to this location.

UPDATE: The owner of this establishment contacted me the next day to request I reach out. They apologized and offered to let them make up for this mishap. I respectfully accepted and will definitely give them another chance for being so gracious....
