The selection of food on the buffet was plentiful. More or less the staff kept it replenished well enough to avoid running out of something all together. The waitress never let my drink glass get lower than half empty before producing a refill like a well trained veteran magician pulls a rabbit out of a hat. She was all smiles and very polite. She was also quite proficient at removing plates from our table at just the right time. This concludes the "positive" portion of the review as I thought it better on this one to separate the negative aspects of my experience from what were surely redeeming qualities as to not have them overshadowed. The overall "quality" of the food in many cases left me anything but impressed. Nothing that I had was at any point better than mediocre and in some cases (egg rolls, won tons, etc.) these items were either room temperature or out right cold in the middle. The entire dining room could greatly benefit from a cleaning. Walls looked dull from paint long past its prime and a sort of greasy film almost catches your eye when you begin to take in the atmosphere around you. Lastly the frozen yogurt machine actually did work yet only "vanilla" were available and if I didn't know any better I'd swear someone added a deafening amount of vanilla extract to the mix prior to making it leaving it impossible to continue on to the second bite. Zero dessert toppings and only small little disposable stryrofoam cups that looked better suited for use as sauce cups rather than a dessert dish. So in conclusion my advice for whatever it may be worth is to give one of the other buffets in Memphis a try instead. Google maps showed three or four other Chinese buffets all within five miles or less from this location. Hope my experience helps somebody out there and I wish all of you out there...
Read moreThis was not my first time going but today was my first time experiencing not being able to pay in the front after eating like everybody else. I’ve noticed that they allow everybody (Hispanics) to pay their ticket in the front when it’s time to go expect me & my husband (we are both black). I do not know if she was stereotyping us or whatever the case may be but It honestly made me feel some type of way especially since we have been here often and never experienced it before. That was new and strange. Then the server had the audacity to insist on a tip after we noticed what she did. Here’s a future tip for advice, stop stereotyping people! Be fair! If you want people to pay in the front then make everybody pay in the front and stop picking and choosing who should pay in the front. Clearly you guys are not good at that considering the amount of people on your wall that have ran out just make EVERYBODY pay in the front instead of picking certain people. Just because you have had bad experiences from a few (I’m assuming black people since that’s all I’ve seen on their wall) WE ARE NOT ALL the same. EVERY race have their bad apples but that does not mean that I’m going to frown upon or treat the whole race accountable just because I have a had a bad experience with a few. Anyways, even tho I know they do not care whether we come back or not it’s okay cause we will NOT be back but I wanted to write this for others who care to read. Read moreSTAFF WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I will NEVER recommend this to ANYBODY! First, the food was already cold. Then, this is supposed to be a buffet, so why are they trying to charge me talking about, you can't waist the food. Again, this is a buffet and people throw away food all the time at buffets. This place think (BLACK) people are stupid and retarded and the Manager and security guards aren't going to help either!! Then, they're digging all in my plate telling me I'm waisting food, this place something else. The waiters and this place is very stingy. They accused me of waisting a while plate of crab legs and I didn't. Even if I did, it's A BUFFET!!!!!!!!!! They told me u was waisting a cup of water, it was a little water in the cup, these people are cheap and disrespectful, this business needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY!!! So disappointed and angry with these people. We won't be back EVER AGAIN...
