I ordered food through UberEats for a total of $57.27. Unfortunately, I only received half of my order, so I immediately reached out to UberEats. They informed me that since the order had been delivered and involved promotions, I wasn't eligible for a refund. I then contacted the restaurant to ask about my missing items and they told me that the other half of my order was still at the store. They suggested that I drive there to pick it up, but I explained that I don’t own a car which made that impossible.
It's important to acknowledge that mistakes happen in restaurants and for those of us who rely on delivery services because we don’t have transportation, it’s crucial that orders are complete and accurate before they leave the restaurant.
So, while waiting for a resolution the staff then asked me to place another order for a drink and they would send the other half of my original order when that order got picked up. I agreed, but soon realized that this would include additional fees (delivery, taxes, and other fees) for the drink and require another tip. Considering I live close to downtown my fees tend to be higher.
This was my first experience with your restaurant and I only ordered because of a promotional offer. Unfortunately, it didn’t go smoothly. As for the food I did receive, it was okay, but not as great as others have claimed. Here are my ratings: Buffalo Whole Wings: Good size and cooked well, but the taste was a 5.5/10. Fried Okra: Friend but a bit slimy, rated 4.5/10. Corn Nuggets: Perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic, rated 10/10. Gizzards: Good flavor, but could have been cooked a bit less for better chewiness, rated 6.5/10. Calamari: Perfectly cooked and delicious, rated 10/10.
However, I was missing the other half of my order, which included plain wings and fries for my 4 & 6 year old. Additionally, I noticed there are no drinks available on your account for ordering, so please refrain from suggesting that in the future, as it will cost the customer more money and might not help someone facing a similar issue.
Keep in mind that nobody has extra money to waste and I hope something can be resolved with UberEats. Unfortunately, theft can occur, and many restaurants make mistakes with orders. Since I grew up spending summers with my grandmother on the coast of North and South Carolina, I know true seafood and what they tried to pass off as fried clams tasted nothing like they are supposed to. It was like eating crackling s. Captain Ds and Red Lobster serves fried clams that are good. The shrimp was too salty and you couldn't tell you were eating shrimp. The shrimp had to have been frozen for a long time. They left out the slaw that came with the dinners and when my husband went back to let them know and asked if the clams were actually clams and that they had left out the slaw, the young lady working behind the counter was very rude and unprofessional. I will never order anything from here again. I don't think they are going to be in business for too long, however unless you've had fresh seafood you may not know what you're missing. Read moreOn 4/26/2020 My family made this online order recently on the one on Elvis Presley Blvd, We called the numbers on the doors for order pickup however they told us we must go to the drive through! In as much as there was a couple of cars in line, we obliged & When we drove up to the window to pick it, We gave the order number & names under it they said they don't have it, told them it's an online order and they looked at each other as if it was so funny, they laughed in our face then one lady said it's not ready. NO APOLOGY WAS OFFERED OR NOTHING! This offended us keeping in mind that we held you with so much high esteem that we chose you out of all the other restaurants we could have went to.
We understand that nobody is perfect & people mess food orders all the time but the fact that they laughed in our face is what really hurt us.
