Muggin Coffeehouse - Whitehaven — Restaurant in Memphis

Excellent customer service and their drinks taste amazing. I have been here more than once at this point and have had over five beverages, so consistency is on point. This will become my regular go to stop for my caffeine fix and I plan on making my way through the menu. I love the atmosphere. The staff is helpful in explaining things. Sturdy WiFi. Modern equipment and tech. Business is booming right now, and I will be here even when the traffic mellows out to the regulars and the staff is more used to dealing with the ebbs and flows of the peaks in the day. This was opening week and kinks were being worked out and customers were lined up excitedly out the door. The espresso was strong, but not bitter and had a sizeable amount of crema. This was my test of a great pulled Americano. So good I almost didn't put my usual cream. I definitely didn't use my usual honey. A true coffee shop is not about the sweet frozen drink in my mind. My wait is over...I tried Muggin Coffee Shop and was not disappointed in the littlest. This spot exceeded everything I thought it would be. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable in helping us chose the right drinks. The place felt homey and a place for everyone. The decor was so inviting, it just felt comfortable and cozy...Now the drinks, wow, wow, wow. From the first sip of my Bourbon Macchiato, I was hooked. The caramel and the Bourbon flavoring. I had mine with almond milk and it was the most delectable drink I've tried in awhile. Seriously, it was impressive. My friend had the Muggin Main and she raved on it as well. This coffee shop is done right and I really hope they bring one closer to where I live because it was a 25 minute drive to get there but I promise, until that happens I will take that ride. 😊. In all honesty, this place is headed for great things. I went around the time where they first opened up. It was a LOT of hype for Muggin, so the line was insanely long. I had a 30 minute wait for my order (but you’d expect that seeing how long the line was, duh) and when I finally got it, nothing was missing and it tasted better than I expected. I went with my mother and she’s not as hardcore into coffee like I am, so the person at the register quickly yet efficiently informed my mom of all the different ways to have a coffee there. I’m sure as time progresses, they’ll have more registers and/or a bigger team to work with. As a newly opened black owned business, I see great things happening for this...
