This past weekend my fiancé and I went out for brunch here, which we dine here often on Sundays. When our server who name is Rico came to our table to get our drink orders we responded by asking for a peach lemon drop. Mr. Rico responded adamantly as in they could not make the drink. My fiancé and I stated to Mr. Rico that this drink is what we get each and everytime we come out to the resturant. Instead of just checking with the bartender Mr. Rico again adamantly insist that he strongly believe that they can not make the drink and ask if we would like an alternative. As I look away from Mr. Rico to consider what other cocktail beverage I would even want he interrupts my silent thoughts and ask "Is there a problem". We felt Mr. Rico came off very aggressive. My fiancé had to intervene and ask how long he worked there and remind Mr. Rico again that this is what we always order. At this point Mr. Rico finally says he'll go check.
Sure enough the bartender made our drinks and he brought them to us without an apology for the extra unnecessary back and forth as well as attitude. Without my knowledge before we left my fiancé approach Mr. Rico away from our table to ask him about his attitude and from their conversation she expressed to me he took no accountability and tried to flip the matter on us as if we had the attitude which neither of us did and he was the one the escalated the matter by not simply checking with the bar tender initially. After their conversation he did approach me and state "If I felt offended he apologize". It did not feel genuine.
We were very uncomfortable after the encounter and if it wasn't for the self-serving brunch we would have left do to not wanting to associate with Mr. Rico anymore.
When he brought our check he brought 3 different tickets. The full check and then another ticket with it at half price. He gave us the impression as if he reduced the bill but after the transaction posted it was the full amount.
We hate that this experience has caused us reluctance in...
Read moreOur law firm decided to take us out for lunch at Owen Brennan's today for Administration Appreciation Day. While hoping for a nice relaxing lunch day, we ended our lunch feeling ignored and frustrated.
We made reservations at 11:30am which we did arrive on time for and was seated promptly. The guy at the Bar who was very helpful came to our table asking if we've been seen by anyone and if we needed drinks. He proceeded to let us know that he was not our server but was helping out because they were short staff. After he had took our drink and appetizer order (and I want to add that we were ready for him to take our meal order as well but he insisted that he'll get the drinks and the appetizer put in first & will come back for the entrée order.) We probably waited a good 25-30 mins before receiving our appetizer. Once we received it, one of my colleagues notices that there was hair in the Gouda Mac & cheese. We asked for a Manager which was a woman and she was very apologetic about it and offered us free desert and of course a comp of the appetizer.
And of course we waited another 30 mins before receiving our entrée. Now we understand that you all are short staff but everyone else in the section were being attended to while we were constantly waiting for someone to come around and attend to our table. One of my other colleagues asked for more coffee that she never received and we literally had to get out of our seats to get someone to take our desert order TO GO! The manager never came back around to check on us to make sure we were still doing okay after the first mishap with the hair. It was ridiculous! The guy behind the bar, again, was great! He did the best he could to help us but he was extremely busy himself with the bar.
Since we drove in separate cars, the three of us decided to leave while the other two stayed and waited on the dessert. That was at 1:22pm. AGAIN, we arrived at 11:30am.
The food was amazing but this is too nice of a restaurant for the service to be as bad as...
Read moreMy party was mistreated and disrespected by the owner of this restaurant! Our reservation was for 3pm December 8, 2018 party of 6 and we were not seated until 3:30. After being seated we didnât see a server until 3:45 for drink orders. Fortunately, our server was pleasant, and returned with our drinks and took our food order. We waited until 5:15 before we received our food order. The server apologized for the long wait and said that there were several parties in the resteraunt and the kitchen was backed up. As a remedy, the shift manager offered us complimentary desert. Another hour passed, and we had not received our check or dessert. After 6pm the server returned to give us our checks and we asked for the deserts to be boxed to go. Moments later, the owner, Jim Baker, comes to our table and says that he noticed that we had been seated in the restaurant for more than 2 hours. We thought that he was coming to apologize for the delay of the food and services that had been provided by the restaurant. Instead, he had the gall to tell us that there were more patrons that needed to be seated and that we NEEDED TO LEAVE. We couldnât be believe that he would treat us in this manner. Our evening was actually side tracked because we were in the restaurant much longer than was ever expected. Jim Baker, owner of Owen Brennanâs, the next time you feel the need to speak to paying patrons in this manner.... DONâT! Just, be a better planner and have the adequate staffing to accommodate your restaurant. That way you can avoid giving your rude, condescending comments to your...
