Sai Biryani point — Restaurant in Memphis

I absolutely love the biryani here but the 3 star rating is because of the following reasons:

Price: Biryani is expensive. Quantity is good but fine dining prices which keep increasing $2-$3 every couple of months. If you are paying by cash, you get a discount but if you are using a credit card, you could be paying $26 for a goat biryani. 🤯

Service: is fast. Just call them 5-10 mins before you go there and they will pack it and keep it ready.

Hygiene: Absolutely not good. The restaurant is only good for a takeout or delivery. There is too much foot traffic for you to sit and eat peacefully. The waiting area and the cash counter are very dirty and God knows what the kitchen looks like. I have seen a cockroach and alerted the lady at the cash counter but she casually gave the food to everyone and after 2-3 mins took care of it. 😑

Food: The taste is good. The best biryani I have had in the city. But, it is hit or miss. Even with this much demand, they do give you some stale food sometimes. The best time to go is on a Friday afternoon. They prepare goat biryani only on weekends starting Friday and that's why you can be assured to receive a fresh biryani.

Overall, food is good but it's a shame how the restaurant is managed and the greed to make more money by increasing prices never...

I placed an order on THEIR website and paid with my credit card. I received an email with my receipt and headed to the restaurant to retrieve my online order.

I told them I was there to pick up my online order only for them to say they do not accept online orders and they only process payments in store with cash or card swipe. They tried to get me to leave the restaurant.

I showed them my receipt with the name of their restaurant and location as well as what I ordered and showed that my credit card was processed. The lady behind the counter tried to act like she didn’t understand what I was saying. She then said she would fulfill my order but only THIS time.

There will definitely not be a next time! How do you have a website that accepts and allows customers to place online orders and then turn them away when they come in? Very unprofessional and the food wasn’t even...

I feel the people that run this restaurant do so fully with love, the food is always wonderful!!, I made an online order just recently, Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosas, and chapati. Everything tasted great as always, they have a good consistency of making sure what they do is top notch!!! BUT the one thing to catch my eye is one thing Iwas contemplating ordering but didn't someone threw in some chili chicken ( also very delicious!!!), I'm very thankful to whoever did that!!, that made this fat guy happy!!!, I was thinking someone there likes me!!!
