Ironically you have to give at least one star to rate however this location does not deserve a one. As Blacks or some would say African-Americans we are always told it is best to support black owned businesses. That is not always the case. I am posting this public complaint so that others will know NOT to PATRONIZE this location. I know you are saying it is not that serious. Well let me tell you why I feel so strongly about it. First of all if you have been to the location at 2865 S Perkins Rd Memphis, TN 38118 at least 4 times then more than likely 3.5 times out of 4 you have had a bad experience. The manager that is there in the mornings (the tall black guy) has no customer service training. Rude is an understatement. This morning (Jan 15, 2015) I arrived at this location at 7:15 am in the drive thru.. I was place on hold the moment I pulled to the speaker although there were no other cars in front on me. When the young man finally took my order which was a jr cheeseburger deluxe ($1.19 plus additional .40 for the cheese), small value fry ($1.09) & a route 44 cherry limeade (.99 w/ coupon) he informed me my total was $4.45.. I place the prices for this reason.. Before taxes total was $3.67 so why am I being charged .78 in taxes. The tax rate her in Tennessee is 9.25%. When I pulled to the window the manager passed me my order at 7:42am so although I am a little peeved due to the fact I was waiting so long, I keep my composure. No Good morning, thank you for waiting, no nothing just $4.45 ma'am .. So I asked what was I charged for and the manager repeated my order so that part was correct. When I inquired on the total he says, "ma'am I did not ring you up". Quite naturally I look at my ticket and see the over charged me on the beverage. When I brought this to his attention he says "ma'am pull up and I will fix the ticket and bring back your change out to you". After all that time I sat there pulling up was not an option. Instead of him fixing my ticket, he went out the back door and took the car behind me their order came back in and got the order for the car behind them.. As a customer I am wondering why can't you just fix my ticket so that I can be on my way .. Too much like RIGHT.. After realizing this man was not going to correct my ticket anytime soon I started blowing my horn. Of course he ignored me. Finally I started knocking on the window and he came over. I returned my order and told him to just give me a refund. This man had the nerve to throw my money at me. Now if I raised my voice at him, even if I had cursed him, or maybe if I had thrown money at him, then that behavior would have probably been warranted. However I did none of these things. After leaving Sonic and almost being late for work with not meal and no time to stop anywhere else, I was thought to myself why did I even bother to stop there? I do take part of the blame because this Sonic is notorious for bad service. Something needs to be done and it seems the owners have no concern about there...
Read moreI visit this location quite frequently, usually my experience is pleasant enough for me to keep returning. But my experience today was one that i must share with others. Because it left me like oh wow really. First off i was in the process of placing my order when i had asked a question that went unanswered and was then cashed out the screen said my total was $7.75 . So my carhop arrived, a young lady with braids my receipt says her name is Ashley. She had a red tray with a brown bag and a med. grape slush which she couldn't keep the lid on. It had blew off ,she put it back on and the slush was leaking from the top of the cup. I gave her $20.75 and she begin to hand me the items and the lid was coming off the cup again. while pressing it on said "bruh they don't know how to fix nothing right." As she proceeded to hand me the grape slush that was leaking. I said "oh, no, do you have a napkin?" She said "no." I reached in my glove box and took out some napkins she handed me the cup and as i was wiping the cup off waiting for my change. When she said "here go yo $12 dollars do you need something else? I said yes i'm waiting on my change. She said i gave you the $12 i said correct but the screen said my order was 7.75. I gave you 20.75 so my change would be $13.00. She reached in her fanny packed pulled out a dollar, rolled her eyes and walked off.
Now my issue is how often does she keep other people's money? What do she feel like she had did that deserved $1.00 tip?

Read moreIf I could leave no stars, I would. So my friends and I pulled up at 11:35, decided what we wanted, and hit the button to order by 11:40. We sat there until 11:53 when a guy finally asked if he could take our order. We started ordering, when he stopped us to ask a question. The person ordering the food at that time answered him, then kept going with the order. I also added on my order. So in total, 3 separate orders, mostly made of small things. When I finished ordering, there was radio silence. No one said anything back to us. We sat there for a few more seconds, then decided that he just stopped listening. While we were ordering, multiple more cars pulled up, were able to order in no time, AND one car even got their order. When a carhop came out to bring that other car their order, one of my friends stopped her and told her what happened. She said she’d go tell someone inside. She then came back out, asked us what time it was (which it was 11:58 by this time), and then responded “oh we closed. That’s why he didn’t take the order”. I told her we’d been sitting there for 20 minutes before anyone even started taking our order. She told us that she’d go inside and talk to someone. We waited. Still, no one came over the intercom. By this point, it’s 12:00 (when they close). My friend hit the red button again because it had stopped blinking. A voice came over the intercom finally and said “we’re closed”. We all sat there in shock. A worker then walked out and took an order to a car that had arrived after us.
So yeah, like I said....if I could give it less than one...
