It's hard to ask for more from such a cheap place to stay. I've seen reviews from people who say they saw evidence of a roach problem. While I stayed here with my family, I saw evidence that the roach problem has been dealt with successfully. When I checked in, I saw several roach corpses on the floor of my otherwise perfectly clean room. No live roaches or other such parasites were encountered during our 1-night stay.

Our room had no real flaws to speak of. There is a fridge but no microwave. The A/C was a little tricky to operate, and we never quite worked out the best temperature to set it at. We ended up getting the room really cold before going to sleep, then turning it off for the night, then back on again in the morning.

Breakfast is all carbs and nothing hot. Cereal, toast, and muffins. The quality is fair. My dad said they didn't have any butter or jam for the toast, which may or may not be true, as he's notorious for such oversights and I didn't get the chance to check on that myself. Other reviewers expressed that if you don't make it to breakfast early, you won't get any, as staff doesn't refill it; as such, my dad picked stuff up for us around 6:45 and brought it back to the room.

Regarding wheelchair accessibility, we did not stay in a wheelchair accessible room as they are notoriously more expensive than regular rooms and fail to accommodate my mother anyway when we book them. (If you or your loved one are wheelchair-bound, you'll know what I mean.) Accessibility-wise, this was surprisingly one of the best hotels we stayed at on this family vacation. The beds sit at seat height making for easy transfers. The mattresses are neither too hard nor too soft. The hallway mirror was low enough for her to do her hair there. The bathroom door was wide enough for her chair to fit through and maneuverable enough for her to reach the bathtub/shower and lean over to wash her hair.

Regarding the neighborhood from a complete outsider's perspective, it seems to be an overall rough place. It also seems to be going through a revival. Saw some transients, but didn't interact with any. One tweaker outside of the neighboring IHOP (which served us a delicious dinner, BTW); possibly one hooker in the parking lot, albeit it's hard to tell sometimes the way that women sometimes choose to dress. I'll admit there was a moment I worried that I shouldn't have brought my family here in pursuit of a cheap hotel in between destinations, but that feeling was short-lived. There are many security cameras and gates around the property (albeit I've seen a lot of people shimmy through those gates undeterred).

Pros: cheap, clean Cons: reviving neighborhood, no...

There are places that are cheap and so you get what you pay for and then there is this place!

The state of some of the cars outside the place, some of which looked abandoned, was the first alarm bell. The staff member on the desk was unfriendly and uninterested. The room itself looked clean but then you noticed all the damage, like handles missing, and dirt and rubbish left behind furniture. The bathroom was grubby, the shower unit was coming away from the wall, the bath tap dripped constantly and the floor was strangely sticky. We also were left a complimentary vest from a previous guest. The toilet also didnt flush properly by the end of our stay. When we checked in a woman came to reception to ask for a plunger, so there seems to be plumbing issues. But....the beds were comfortable! So far so good.

Then the fun and games begin. It seems this place is also used as government housing as there seemed to be many longterm residents. Some rooms had doormats outside and guests were constantly walking the halls at all hours of the night. The exterior doors were unlocked so the whole place was unsecured (not that reception staff would have provided much security anyway). The first two nights the couple next door were arguing and screaming for hours. On the second night it was so bad the police showed up. After they left the fighting started again to the point where it sounded physical. When we alerted reception they were uninterested in doing anything and denied that the police had been there. The arguing lasted all night and meant we got no sleep. Oh and then there were the loud gunshots heard outside the building during the night!

Finally, I can't rate the included breakfast because there were no signs of it on the first morning beyond a couple of discarded cereal boxes. We didn't bother after that. We went to IHOP next door.

I'm sure some people have stayed here and it's been okay. The room itself is what you would expect for the price. But I think staying here you will definitely be risking getting a lot more for your money than you were expecting. Book at...

Very dissatisfied with everything about this hotel. Choice Hotels should take this hotel off if there list. We felt like most of the people were living at this hotel like a government subsidized living location. It states it’s a non smoking hotel, but the hallways smelt like cigarettes and marijuana. Had to ask for a blow dryer and she told me I had to return it. I stated I was staying for a week and didn’t want to bring it back each day. She said I guess you can keep it in the room. No cups, coffee pit or coffe for the coffee machine that was in our room either. No hangers for our clothes. When we checked in 1 if the 2 elevator were not working. By our 3rd day the other elevator stopped working. We were on the 3 rd floor. So we did stairs for the remaining time every time we left and came back to our room. Our mattress had a plastic covering over it, assuming to keep out the marijuana and whatever other smells could get on the mattress. Overall experience we would give a -100 if at all possible. Yes, I’ve learned my lesson the less expensive hotels are not the standard choice hotels. We are close to platinum status, but if our next choice hotels are anything lke this experience we will not be using any of your hotels chain locations. As a gold member I’ve always been greeted at the front desk with thank you for being a gold member and given water bottles and a snack as a thank you, plus special marked parking spots. This sleep inn had none of that customer service. Please consider strongly to do a corporate person stay at this hotel to see if they feel and are treated the same way as we were. We aren’t anybody special, but we usually pick a choice hotel...

We picked to stay at this hotel for two main reasons, firstly it was a hotel chain we recognized (Holiday Inn) and secondly it came with free breakfast. Upon arriving there were no Holiday Inn signs. The front desk staff alerted us that two weeks prior the establishment changed from Holiday Inn to a Sleep Inn (credit card charged to an Express Inn). Being that it was a late night on a long road trip we kept with our online reservation for a two queen bed room and stayed the night. When we got to our room it was apparent that the cleaning standards were not the same as a Holiday Inn. There were chip crumbs by the nightstand on the carpet, a water bottle under the bed, carpet stains, a sticky bathroom floor, and a dirty toilet seat (black marks present). The positive thing about this room was that the bed was clean, the a/c worked, there was a mini fridge, and there was no trace of bugs. During the night light shined in through the window super bright as if there was daylight outside. We found the bed to be on the firm side and not to our comfort level but if you like firm beds then this may be for you. All included pillows were super inflated and way too big for comfort. There were four pillows per bed and all seemed to be of the same size. Breakfast was a grab and go bagged breakfast from 6:30-9; it was not what we were expecting for breakfast. In the brown bag was a Sunny D, Belvita Bar, Pecan Twirl Sweet Rolls, and a water. The positives of this place was the clean bed, nice staff, and being next to an exceptionally good Taco Bell. Due to the lack of cleanliness we will not be staying at this hotel again.

Horrible start, this hotel is trifling , I got in Thursday afternoon and the room we originally got was 327 & literally that whole level gave me the ick , it was muggy feelings and dirty walls, get into the room it was water stains on the bedsheets and the dresser was scratched up like a dog clawed it, I crashed n went to sleep because I just did a 8hr drive when I woke up left and went to get food came back there was a bug on my bed… went to the lobby to ask for a room change and who ever was working Thursday night said “ if the room was dirty why didn’t you say something earlier you checked in around 3?” So I had to show him pics in order to get a new room. We get a new room on the second level and it’s forsure cleaner than what I started at but there was lipstick stain and booboo or blood stain on my sheets . I slept w it Thursday night but Friday morning I asked for room service and emphasized I needed new sheets and more towels .. I get here and all I got was new towels my bed was completely left how I left it… nobody did nothing … finally Saturday morning I asked for the Clark’s name from Friday and Thursday and Mamdth? A lady up front was on her phone actively on FaceTime being rude with me not trying to give me the names of the Clark , she started raising her voice and being very unhelpful. Another traveler had to tell me one of the men name was Julio . Can’t identify the 3rd person. If you get the icky from showers like me definitely don’t book here they need to renovate the showers I had to get a shower floor mat 🤢🤢 this place minus well be a motel how trifling it is.

The Hotel did not have a name on the building. Dead Give-away!! 🛑 STOP DO NOT PASS GO! First of all calling the hotel was a waste of time, they don't have a real phone number, when you call, someone just picks up the phone and hangs up without saying anything. Did this twice. Hotwire couldn't reach them by phone either. Then when we get to the hotel, we are met by children playing with several toys on the ground in the entrance way, we had to walk around them, the mother was on the phone and walked pass them and us as if they were at home. Cars were broken into the night before "said a vacating guest" We're leaving... and glass was all over some parking spaces. Men standing around smoking and chatting and women walking around with most of their business out. We went inside and the place looked to be under construction (Nothing like the pics online). The vending machine was completely empty. We went into the room to make sure we wasn't pre-judging the place too harsh, well, at first glance everything looked nice and clean, then we turned the lights on...the sofa chair in the room literally looked like they found it in an alley, stains were covering every area of that piece of furniture. #we-left.
