Mama's Kitchen — Restaurant in Menifee

Visited Mama's Kitchen in Menifee today, and oh boy, it was like my taste buds took a detour to Flavorlessville. The menu teased a culinary adventure, but what landed on my plate was more of a tasteless expedition. Kudos to the lone soldier on staff – sweet, pleasant, and running around like a culinary ninja – but even her charm couldn't save the day for the 30 souls craving flavor in that joint.

I get it. Running a kitchen is tough, but if the able-bodied kitchen crew were any more laid-back, they'd be in a recliner. The bulgogi, supposedly a flavor sensation, arrived unmarinated and seemingly on a mission to redefine "bland."

Sure, the stone ware had its moment in the spotlight, but the only heat I felt was the disappointment of cold presentation. The price tag matched the cost of ingredients, operations, and maybe even the chef's day spa retreat, but my taste buds disagreed. Fifty bucks later, and I'm convinced I paid for an overpriced flavor vacuum.

Clean entry, not-so-clean taste. Sorry, Menifee, but Mama's Kitchen won't be seeing me for an encore. Save your taste buds and your wallet – this place is a culinary rollercoaster you'll want to skip. And who knows, maybe their famed Korean BBQ is hiding in a secret flavor vault, far from the plates...

I want to personally say thank you to Mama's kitchen in Menifee my health has not been well lately and I was desperate looking for something to nourish my body and in Menifee being a small town I really did not know where to go I am so happy that Mama's kitchen is there and has been there probably longer than I even realized I want to say the young lady that helped me order Natalie she works very hard and I appreciate her I know she gets very busy and she deserves the biggest tip ever I want to say that I ordered the beef soup I'm sorry I would have taken a picture of it but I ate it already but it was absolutely perfect for my body it felt and tasted so just homemade and just with love and care and it was not rushed it did take some time for the order but I understand why now this is not a fast to go type food they take their time making the best food quality and the menu is simple enough to pick and choose something delicious nourishing and made from the heart and from Korea I think you very much I needed to write this review right nowI will definitely be returning I wish I could every day maybe I can but in the meantime my go to place for nourishment is Mama's kitchen in Menifee thank you for...

Along side with the 1st Thai restaurant next door, this too, is the 1st Korean restaurant in Menifee. We ate here twice and have been satisfied with their food. They're a bit on the pricey side--a little too much for certain dishes that tastes just as good somewhere else for less (in my opinion) . Ex. Their short ribs are priced way too much ($30 something dollars when it's about $20 something somewhere else). They are good, but I've had better for less.

Before your meal, we love their ensemble that they bring out. They brought out about 5 small sampler plates of their version of mash potatoes (our favorite), seasoned cucumber, kimchi (fermented cabbage/Korean raddish), and I forgot the other 2.

We love their spam fried rice. It has a unique taste that's worth spending. We also like their dumplings. We'd like to go back to try other dishes when we get a chance.

I read their sign that you can order their seasoned, uncooked short ribs and other dishes to go and for less.
