Rounders Lounge — Restaurant in Mentor

Been wanting to go to Rounders for over a year and finally got there today and took a friend visiting from Virginia for his birthday. Had seen months ago random pics here and there of menu items so I was excited. Was told when we sat at our table we were in for a real treat because they had 2 culinary chefs! Wow! WHAT A MAJOR LET DOWN!!! Specials for dinner were 3 fish items. Regular menu was 1 breakfast dish, 3 burgers, a few sandwiches, salad, minor bar food. Very little to choose from. My friend got the breakfast. My other friend and I got the 1/3 lb burger hold the bbq sauce. And of course I had to order the fried shrooms. I asked for slaw and was told they would have to give me the tiny one they give with their fish. She said it wasn't like she could give me a scoop. REALLY? You've got chefs. The burgers were awful...I think she gave me 12 fries. Not 1/3lb. And more lettuce than meat. And it was cold. Then the shrooms....worst I've ever had. They had the worst garlic taste all over them it was awful. This was such a disaster. No matter what I asked the waitress for I had to ask 3 times for salt, catsup, lids for containers, etc. So disappointed and embarrassed to take my friend for his birthday. Edit: I appreciate the response but this wasn't a little bit of salt. It was enough to make me sick and burn my mouth and at no time did anyone offer to remake my food. I would not have eaten any more even if they had. This was a negligent cook and bad service. Period. Not saying don't try them, but I won't again. And it's a shame because I would have definitely gone back and brought my family. Also taking away star for the attempted gaslighting.

Like the reviews said, the burger was awesome, until I got to the middle. So, so salty. It burned my tongue and lips. It was awful. I'm sorry I swallowed it because now my stomach is upset. I realize one burger shouldn't reflect on the place as a whole but there is NO WAY someone didn't know they dumped a bunch of salt on it and then to serve it to someone? Good service and nice atmosphere at this bar. Seems like a great place to grab a drink. The food menu had several options with something for everyone. The bartender was friendly and attentive. I just had a quick drink and a snack here. There is not a very good selection of bourbon, which is my drink of choice. The only had Bullet and Makers Mark on the night that I was there. As far as the food was concerned, the fries were some of the best that I have ever had. I recommend the fries. The wings were only 50 cents each, which i thought i would give a try.
