YTM SUSHI — Restaurant in Mentor

When you walk in, you might feel like this place isnt somewhere you could buy sushi from based on the lackluster decor, but the owner and enjoyment his conversations brought when i walked in made up for this 1000x over. The prices and portion sizes are phenomenal, he even offered me a free bottle of water, while most other places you walk into will charge you three bucks for one. The smoked salmon cream cheese roll was phenomenal, the flavor rich and concentrated in the salmon, perfect cream cheese, with insanely attuned seasoning in the rice. Their wasabi was very flavorful as well, with the soy sauce being a brand i was unfamiliar with but pairing beautifully with my meal. Took them less than 3 minutes to make and with their orders being solely takeout, this cornerstore ought to be an instant classic in Mentor for it's authenticity and friendliness. Please hear me out... If you want quality sushi for an amazing price look no further than YTM. The sushi is extraordinary for the price. Yes... Yes... I am the first to always say you get what you pay for. HOWEVER, not in this case and not here. Quality exceeds the value. $5-$7 for hand rolled sushi and a drink (included can of pop or bottled water with purchase). The ingredients are very fresh and they roll the sushi right then and there- made to order. The customer service is just as good as the sushi. Go ahead, keep going to a chain fast food joint on your lunch to just over pay on some greasy, chemical you who what... Me? I am going to spend my money at YTM. This is a new little place. We stopped in after an appt and they had a special going ( buy one get one free) this ends tomorrow 10/18, it was clean and smelled nice. It’s still new so probably working on decor. The gentleman was so sweet and helpful. The sushi chef was fast and good. The sushi was really good. Loved the spicy tuna. It was fresh and had a great flavor. Very inexpensive but really good! So glad we tried...
