The plaza Blvd. location is always slower than the others for some reason and I have no idea why. When it was down by Verizon it was always good. Now, not so much. Very slow and drinks don't taste as good as from other locations. I was the only person inside and there were a few cars in the drive through. I ordered ahead by at least 5 minutes and still stood around for 10 - 15 waiting. I think if several employees spent more time actually working instead of standing around talking to eachother then they may get things done in a more timely manner. When I arrived the tickets for my drinks hadn't even been pulled from the machine. After the first several minutes I was asked the name for the order I was waiting on. Was told they were still working on it (hadn't started). The same person came back a couple minutes later and started 1 of the 2, but then walked away again. Another person finally came over and finished the first (incorrectly) and I said just so you know for the next one please dont put whip cream on. At any other location they'd offer to remake it and i would say that wasn't necessary pull you just scoop off the whip cream. I just got a look so I went over to the garbage and scooped it off myself. I came back over and waited for my second drink and then was handed 2 drinks. I said I didn't need 2 more just 1 and was told to just take it and asked if I needed a carrier now. I said I didn't, thanked them and left. On one hand ok so they remade the drink.... but on the other hand I didnt care for the attitude as if it was my fault they didnt actually read the ticket that clearly stated no whip and I was nice about it and took it off myself. I did mention it because I shouldn't have had to do it and didnt want to have to do it a second time. Considering none of them were made the way I'm used to so weren't that great, I no longer felt bad about the extra drink considering I paid almost $12 for something I could have done better...
Read moreI tried the new Starbucks at the corner of Mentor Avenue and Plaza drive at the behest of my granddaughter. I have avoided the coffee shop since my days of visiting "Insomnia" on High Street in Columbus during my Paramedic days running private Ambulance in that fair city. Seeing Mentor safety forces pulling up to get their Coffee☕ put me a little more at ease! Great staff! Explained what was in stock and what wasn't. I tried the Grande Iced Mocha with Almondmilk🥤 but real whipped cream. The barista double checked to make sure she didn't put in something I might be allergic to. The Chocolatey flavor started out powerful and Yummy, gradually fading as you got further down into the cup. I see why the kids enjoy this treat! You could get addicted to this legal treat real quick! I survived the 1/2 hour test with no side effects. The only downside was the cost.💵I didn't notice any discounts for those over 62 or disabled and none were offered despite the gray hair. More a treat for the working and well retired. Nice visit,...
Read moreJust stopped in for a tea, rarely ever stop at this location but have to admit I almost always have the same experience with this location.
Was not acknowledged when I entered the store. I was the only one waiting to order with maybe two or three other people in the store. Barista ignored me standing at the counter and continued working on finding a place for cake pops to be displayed in basket. Walked from behind the counter to in front of the display case, still not having said a word to me. I understand if you're taking an extra few seconds to get to a stopping point with a current task, but it's rude when you're not even acknowledged for a prolonged period of time.
When she finally came back to the register she went straight to: "what are you having?" instead of a hello. Really? Isn't this common courtesy working in the retail industry? Very...
