Came through the drive thru on two separate occasions late at night. Both times, before even placing our order, we were told we could have a $10 MAXIMUM on our whole order. Knowing prices at this location, that meant we could only get ONE combo/meal otherwise we would be "overspending". When asked if we could have separate orders, they would not do so and we were told we had to receive our first order and pull back around. Upon receiving our ONE meal for three people, I called the location and inquired about having the $10 limit on our order. The manager replied it was due to having only one cook in the kitchen so he would not be overwhelmed with orders. It is worth mentioning we were the ONLY car in drive thru at the time this occurred. I must say I have NEVER heard of such a policy at any fast food restaurant. Being told how we could spend our money and refusing to make food for us as customers is blatantly disrespectful and outright laziness on their part. This location has an ADVANTAGE being the only fast food restaurant in Mentor open past 1 AM. I had two others in the car and we were still hungry, so we visited both the Taco Bell near Lowe's on the opposite side of Mentor, as well as the one in Diamond Center and was pleasantly surprised to find such a policy did not exist at either of those locations. I would recommend those two over this location, as from my experience, they clearly do not prioritize customer service or care to make enough money to keep themselves fully staffed and afloat. Do not come here any hour of the night, especially if you have a large crowd, as you will be treated the same way as I, and leave as hungry, angry, and disappointed as you were when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreQuite often, I drive past at least 7 other Taco Bells to come to this one. It is consistently the best tbell in the Greater Cleveland area, and you wonāt find a challenger until you get to Erie. East side, West side, South side, doesnāt matter.
My food has never been unsatisfactory. Literally never.
There is very rarely a line at the drive thru. They work fast, and get it right. Iām usually still fumbling my purse to put my wallet back when my food is ready.
Most of the drive thru workers are very friendly, without asking the stupid dangerous pointless question, āhow are you today?ā They get to the point of asking me what I want, with a pleasant tone. No more or less than is required; all the tacos with none of the existential crises.
The location is convenient to travelers on both the 90 and the 2. The parking lot is very navigable, but note that going straight from the drive thru is a right turn only; but you can go around to the light to go East on the 20.
Itās really the best, and I eat here often enough that if they had any glaring problems, I would be telling you. Heartily, bravo.
To be clear, I donāt go inside often at all, just through the drive thru. So I canāt judge the atmosphere fairly.
To corporate, please acknowledge the culture here that has repeatedly made me smile, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'd give zero stars if I could. Although this location is usually better than the new one on Tyler (that place is just awful, bad service, wrong orders, etc) I placed an online order yesterday after work after seeing some online build your own box deals that looked good. I placed my order, received a confirmation, and my credit card was charged. I then went to the restaurant to find it closed and dark, with a sign taped to the drive-thru and pick up window saying they closed at 8. On Friday evening. Not sure what the circumstances were, but my card was charged for food I was unable to get. Still waiting on a response regarding my refund. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to just getting some food and relaxing after work, too. Sure, I could go somewhere else, but the whole experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't think I'll be returning, and definitely won't be using the online...
