Empower Nutrition & Energy — Restaurant in Mentor

Walked in out of curiosity, I drove by and saw the place. Was looking for a protein shake after a good workout and was tired of Pulp. I was greeted and told I had to enter my personal info onto a iPad or else I couldn’t do business. Some sort of account registration. Sure whatever you say. I looked at the menu. No prices listed for individual shakes and teas. Was told that prices “depend”. Not a good sign or a good business model. No wonder - after further inquiry I found out shakes start at 8$ and go up after that. Yikes.

The menu items all had things like “cake”, “chocolate”, “cookie”, “peanut butter” or “brownie” in the name. Doesn’t really scream healthy. Also, no ingredients are listed. For anything. I was just told everything is “protein based and sugar free”. Are things milk based? Ice cream? Yogurt? Water? Who knows, the menu doesn’t say.

Menu was overwhelming and clustered. I told them it was too much and walked out. The girls were nice though. Can’t wait till Smoothie King comes to painesville. That’s a healthy smoothie...

I have been a patron of Empower for well over 4 years now. The owners are not just friends but family. This is the place I go to not only relax and recover from my workout but also where I go to chin wag with the most extraordinary people. Though I go to enjoy a shake or tea I stay even longer for the tremendous and beautiful relationships I have forged.

Just like in Mary Poppins, It's a Jolly Olly Day with Mary behind the counter with her exuberant and contagious personality, or Jeff's quick wit and Brotherly sense of care and love. Jes is an ecsquisit conversationalist who's charm and spark can set ablaze any negative energy and like a Phoenix from the ashes make things all the brighter.

My life has been made all the more extraordinary and filled with love since I walked into their doors. They name is not just a title, for these people it is a way of being as they Empower so many to be better every single day. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a new experience both with the product and the amazing people...

I LOVE EMPOWER! Wow! Recently discovered Empower and if you are a health nut, gym rat or just want to try something delicious but healthy their protein milkshakes are THE BEST! They have so many options and ive been there 4 times now and every flavor ive gotten has been SO delicious! So far I like the s’mores milkshake the most and the banana bread milkshake is runner up! But aside from delicious shakes the staff is genuinely the kindest most helpful most patient most inviting staff you will meet! They love giving recommendations and amazing insight! Empower is such a cute place to chill in! Need to get some work done? this place would be perfect to set up in with a shake and whatever you want work on! What to just hangout? They have a “bar” that you can sit at with your friends and order a shake or tea and chat it up! Just need some time to yourself?
