Would give this restaurant a 1 star if it wasn't for the employees being nice enough so it gets a 2 star. I had stopped by this McDonald's on the way back from Green Bay to IL as it was about a halfway point. Wanted to grab a quick bite. Order was pretty quick and person who handed me my food was nice enough.
I had sat down on the right side of the restaurant and started eating. About 3 minutes into eating, an employee came over and told me that the section I was sitting in was closed. There were no signs saying that the section was closed or anything else indicating it was closed. The employee was nice about it, but wish it would have been BEFORE I started eating. So I put my half eaten food back in the bag and moved to a different table. The double cheeseburger I got was fine, but the McNuggets were really flat. They didn't taste bad but they were very small.
Another reason for the rating is that an employee was sitting at a table on break/lunch as was talking on the phone ON speaker. Not only was she at the table closest to the order counter, she was talking loud enough that you could hear her from anywhere in the restaurant. If she was not on speaker phone she probably would not have been as loud. This went on for over 5 minutes and the manager did not even say anything to the employee
Before leaving I had ordered a frappe for the road. It took about 3 minutes from when they started making it for me to receive it which I don't mind. The person seemed newer who was making it as I heard another employee talking to her about making it. Person was also nice when she handed me the drink. The problem though is there was way too much syrup in it. It was to the point where it was too overly sweet that it didn't taste good. I have a McDonald's frappe about every 2 weeks and this was the first time where it was that bad.
Needless to say it's one of the most disappointing McDonald's I...
Read moreIf you want an experience, go here! My friend and I we're going to go see a movie at the Marcus Theaters down the road and decided to grab something to eat. We saw the golden arches and we knew we had to stop.
Upon stopping at the drive thru, which we waited a few minutes to even be acknowledged, we we're informed that they were only accepting cash. One thing I have learned is that when businesses only accept cash at night is that there is something funky going on. Sometimes when bad managers are working at places, such as McDonald's, they will have their cashiers' only accept cash so they can just pocket some of the profit from the night. I'm nearly 100% this is what was going down.
Anyway, I was heart broken because I only had my debit card as payment, but I was determined so went to a near by gas station so I could get cash for McDonalds.
We go back thru the drive thru and we waited for maybe like five minutes with NO ANSWER. I was again determined so we went inside. When we entered no employees were at the front, playing inappropriate music (honestly pretty good music but inappropriate for McDonalds), and they didn't even acknowledge us. As they made it obvious they weren't going to help us, we turned to the computer cashier and put in our order. Also what's funny is that I took cash specifically out for McDonalds and because of comically bad service I had to use my card. It's kind of sad when a screen is more inviting than actually human beings. The cherry on top of this all was when our order was done they threw our order on the counter without even looking at us.
It was honestly a truly incredible experience, it was the height of horrible customer service. If you want an experience you can tell for generations, go to...
Read moreTraveling with friends and family, seeking something quick and easy. Spotted the nearby McDonald’s, which outwardly appeared rather fancy for the chain restaurant, and decided to stop inside. Took a look around, the interior seemed nice as well, though the water-damaged ceiling tiles seemed an omen of what was to come. The first incident was in the bathroom. Not only was the toilet lid covered in pee, I’m certain there was a brown stain on the front outside of the bowl. No idea how that could have ended up there. But on top of the unsanitary nature of the stall, it had no toilet paper, and neither did the other. An employee had to be called in to restock, however rather than putting the toilet roll into its holder, I was simply handed it before they quickly left. After leaving the bathroom and being told about the men’s bathroom and it’s lack of soap, we ordered. Being two families, we ordered in different spots at the same time, them at the counter and us at the kiosk. They ordered slightly more than we did. Despite ordering at the same time, they received their meal much quicker than us, and we were forced to wait for about 10-15 minutes. After receiving our meal, we quickly realized we were missing a cheeseburger, and had to go back up to the counter to ask. We also did not receive our cups, and again, had to ask at the counter. Considering the wait and forgetfulness, it’s glaringly obvious the place is understaffed. The only thing saving this McDonald’s from a one star review is that I did not order milk and...
