Uptown Pizza — Restaurant in Meriden

Experience service here like you never have before! Guaranteed! Ordered 4 slices of pizza at 2:30PM on a Monday. It took 5 minutes to explain to the cashier that we needed four slices - 1 cheese, 1 veggie, and 2 pepperoni. After explaining multiple times, the employee in the back proceeded to prepare our slices. What happened next was service I've never experienced before. The employee doing the prep proceeded to take 4 cheese slices from a box that was laying on top of a surface and put toppings on 3 of them. The pizza was CLEARLY stale. It wasn't even in a warmer! The pizza was just sitting in a box. We told them the pizza looked stale and inquired if they had fresh pepperoni and veggie slices. The employee told us the slices were good and were only from the morning. FROM THE MORNING?! You are "preparing" us pizza that's 3-4 hours old in NO WARMER?! We got our money back and left instantly. It's a shame because we chose this to be our lunch spot for the family. It's also interesting that we got our money back with no questions asked, and very easily. Perhaps they do this regularly and know it's wrong and will give people back their money so they don't get in trouble? Absolutely horrific in terms of food safety standards. The pizza was from the morning....come on. Like I said, service I've never...

Absolutely awful, go to Costello’s instead of this garbage. The service just pissed me off far too much. Guy put me on hold twice without even telling me, then comes back saying “what you want”. Spoke over me a handful of times trying to rush me off the phone when I was just trying to ask for the total. Then I said thank you and no reaponse and just hung up after. Get a new front desk employee.

Food finally got delivered and it’s not even what I ordered, I called back and instead of apologizing or trying to fix it he kept telling me I was wrong, same guy who spoke over me and rushed me off. and on top of all of this there was a disgusting black hair on one of the slices.

Spend your money on a pizza joint that actually gives a damn and deserves...

Delivery guy couldn't find my address, and just kept saying that my address was wrong (like I don't know where I live). He just had to go up the street, but he kept talking over me, then said that he can't take an hour on a delivery and that he was going back to the restaurant- then he hung up on me. Called the manager, and he gave me some BS about the guy being new, and said he'd send a more experienced driver and would give me a discount. Still waiting as I type, and I ordered it almost an hour and a half ago.

I don't care if it's the best pizza I've ever eaten at this point, their customer service is god awful, and I will never subject myself to it again. Spare yourself the trouble and find one of the other million pizza...
