Aie's Taste of Thai — Restaurant in Meridian

Came from out of town and tried it out because of the rating. Our waitress did a good job and there was a live band playing. You could tell that this was probly a place that locals could go to enjoy ambiance. I ordered the yellow curry and it tasted like milk, water and salt. When the waitress check on us I told her how disappointed in the dish I was. She asked if I would like to try something else and I asked for the pad thai with chicken. The pad thai did not taste like pad thai. It tasted like soy sauce on undercooked noodles. The chicken tasted over done or like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time before being served. I would not recommend anyone to come to this place that actually wants to eat. Was visiting from out of town and had the taste for hibachi food and this is the closest I found here in Meridian. I went based off the reviews. The food is mediocre in my opinion and the noodles isn’t what I’m used to from my home town( not your typical lo mein noodle). And FYI..... they charge an additional percentage fee for carry out orders, which I was in disbelief. Very limited menu but what we had was tasty if inauthentic. We got the coconut soup which is basically Tom ka gai minus chicken but they said they could add chicken. It tasted OK, but do not expect lemongrass, ghalangal, kifir leaves, or straw mushrooms from this restaurant. $10.99 a serving ($2.00 extra for a few small pieces of chicken) is completely ridiculous. Our main dishes were good, but not many real Thai ingredients. Most of the veggies were canned except the green pepper and broccoli. All the mushrooms used are canned, white, sliced mushrooms.
