So upset with the service this morning. This has been a favorite for awhile now, but unfortunately today was so bad I won’t be going back. I order a weird drink. It’s not hard, but it’s not normal and I know that. But I’ve talked to staff and they have said it’s fine, not hard, just funny. It’s literally coffee, ice and whipping cream blended. The texture comes out weird, but it’s what I can have and I enjoy it. Today I ordered and when I got to the window I was told I couldn’t have that. I explained that I know the texture is funny, but it’s fine. I was told again no, but we can give you this other thing instead. I again said I know it’s going to be a weird texture but I get it here all the time. Again I was met with no. They don’t have a button for it… they can’t charge me for it… keep in mind I’ve already paid. In the meantime they also have asked me how to make my daughters drink, which is a normal drink item, but with sugar free. I told them I don’t know, however you would. It is AWFUL! So that went in the trash. We’ve now been there 16 minutes and they are still refusing to make my drink and offering me things I don’t want and can’t have. I’m going to be late at this point. So I ask for my money back. I’m told no and offered another random thing. I ask for the second time for my money back because I need to go. I’m then told they are just going to make my drink how I wanted it. Another 3 minutes later I’m finally leaving. And not ever coming back. Absolutely the worst start to my day. My drink was exactly what I wanted though. 19 minutes and a lot of arguing later. But my daughter doesn’t have a drink because it’s gross.

I made the poor choice of driving clear across town for a simple large americano and I was failed. By the time I got there, the line was only four cars long. I understood the wait time would be longer than usual because of staff issues but this was much longer than the norm. We sat there for around 15 -20 minutes, wasting gas. By the time I got to the window, I was greeted by a quick and rude "sorry we are closed". It wasn't the fact they were closed that disappointed me but that they knew and didn't bother to tell the rest of the cars during the entire 20 minutes of waiting. I wasted precious gas and time for such poor service. Not only that but they actually had three minutes left before closing so technically they could have still made coffee but that is on a less important note. This isn't the first time that I have been given poor service when it has come to The Human Bean but this was definitely the last straw. There is always really rude people except for the one on Lake Hazel and they aren't all that friendly. Please do not bother with a fake apology. I rarely post any bad reviews or even reviews in general. I hate The Human Bean now and their watered down coffee. I am definitely switching to Black Rock Coffee. Besides The Human Bean, Black Rock has always had amazing customer service and the best coffee. This is really disappointing and I hope reading this allows you to think about spending your time and money there. Read moreUpdate Today I of course, had my favorite latte. It's always so good. My barista was fabulous. I wish I had her name. Receipt just said M. Dark hair in a side braid with a cream beanie, super cute and friendly. Very helpful with selection of sandwiches. I'm a burrito kind of gal. They had run out, so with her help, I went with the sausage biscuit and a hot sauce packet. I was so happy it was very hot. I'm craving a breakfast burrito, but the sandwich was also very good. I had the banana bread a while back. It was very good. My only hesitation is that it was a $4 piece of bread, and I got the heal. Now I don't believe in waste and actually I'm A ok with the end piece but my suggestion would be because it is a smaller piece that it be discounted. I'm also a huge coupon, points discounted kind of gal. If you told me this is what we have and it's marked down, I'd be thrilled. All in all, I love this stand, and it's always a great visit. Don't forget those beans!!!!
